The sad thing about last night is that it was one of the least affected Origin games of the round. A true reflection of how terrible the Dragons are at this point.

The Dragons attacking structure and plan is rubbish when you have Dugan, Stanley, Cooper, Nightingale and to some extent Vidot in your team you have a backline capable of putting on plenty of tries but all they do in attack is playing tight around the ruck along the lines of pass it to whoever and see what happens.

They've got a similar derp creativity to ours. Soward is solid, Rein is a great passer, but neither Dugan or Fien are FG standard playmakers, and you really need at least 2 in a side.

I don't think anything is wrong with it. The amount of players injured from it is very low and teams have been doing it for over 3 years.

It is crazy how well he has come on this year. Tom wasn't too bad for Norths so be interesting on how well he develops throughout the year.

Just this season alone, there have been 3 Knights players injuried because of late leg 'tackle'.

And let's not forget Luke's history in the matter.
It's definitely a tackle that needs to be stamped out, it could really ruin a career.
In saying that, another big win for Souths. All this talk about how they couldn't compete without GI and Sam was well and truly extinguished. Easily could have lost their composure at 12-0 but it was business as usual for Souths. They're the real deal this year.

3 out of how many similar tackles each week? It is just an accident and never intended for harm like a cannonball can be.
Beau Champion's injury was almost identical but he was the defender.
100kg's on that lower leg area is a risk in every tackle. We can't keep ruling things out. I don't see it as dangerous as a grapple, chicken wing, cannonball or Des's scorpion one leg tackles.
It simple replaces the old school technique of a player hitting mid and sliding down the legs. Players are too strong now that you have a bigger risk of getting yourself knocked out by tackling mid and collecting a knee, thigh or hip for your troubles plus the chance they just shake themselves out of your tackle.

The delayed coverage sucks but I normally find the FoxSports coverage overrated.
So sick of how they barely replay anything and their pre-show panels suck. Good idea, but terrible presenters.
