Definitely feel like the knik bench is due to losing macca... also Marshall will bring experience and kicking to ease some pressure on Hunt.

The alternative would've been a spine of

1 Kahu
6 Knik
7 Hunt
9 Waddel

If that were the case a lot would fall on Hunt to direct play, kick and provide the attack. Probably the right call by Bennett TBH

They have made him ineligible from playing NRL for 12 months. What would be a suitable length? Two years? Three?

Any longer than 12 months they may as well just say he's banned for life.

I'm not overly supportive of him being at the club, but I don't think the NRL could have acted any differently.

I personally think if any player is found guilty of a violent crime committed whilst on contract they should not be able to register another contract with the NRL.

Same for Auva, Packer, Lodge.

I mean they pretty much shunted carney, who by all reports was shocking, but imo violent crime should not be tolerated anywhere near where it is.

I think there will come a time when the NRL do move towards such an approach, but in this case it wasnt on the broncos watch.

For another example though, and you gentlemen aren't going to like this one.... but remember

Ahh but that was against the storm so no one should care about that ;-)

All though to be fair it was probably the last time storm had poor reffing against them...

Purely out of entertainment I wanted to see Benji get a run at some point this year so it may as Ben in a game that we will struggle l win anyway.

I understand the Kniko decision. Macca is inured an Kniko is a great little hooker that can expose NZ lazy forwards. Our team is missing a lot of experience and I think Benji will bring some calmness our side. I think we could actually win this with how poor the warriors have been.

I'm not sure if I would have made the move, but I'd imagine the move was made for two reasons.

1. Benji is more experienced and can play on either side of the ruck. Nikorima on the other hand has predominately been a right-side player.

2. They'll be up against Shaun Johnson & David Fusitua who will be the focal point of the Warriors attack.

benji was miserable on the weekend bp, his kicking game was garbage and he ran sideways all day. with out lodge and to a lesser extent hazard, redcliffe dont win.
as for benji playing fullback, or as written by someone else. that is incorrect. strasser played fullback for reddy and marshall played in the halves.

Don't know if this was mentioned in any other thread, but Su'a was named in the under 20 team, does that effect him from playing this week. I wouldn't think it would but I am just wondering.

It wouldn't be the first time Wayne has ignored reserve grade performances and given a guy a shot.

It's paid off too, curious to see how it will work out in this case.
