POST GAME Round 13 - Broncos vs Sea Eagles

I love hodgo as much as the next bronco, but I'm nowhere near as scared nowadays when gets injured. We cope just fine without him

"He was a nightmare; hugely talented but totally unpredictable," Bennett said of a young Hunt. "It's a credit to the way we're playing the way he's playing to be honest with you.

Hunt was hyperactive and trying everything and touching the ball four times a set; I would assess that is where Taylor is at the moment. I remember Bennett saying once you look for it in a young half; you want that kid that is trying everything. You don't want them to still be that kid 3 years later.

You guys have summed it up pretty well so I will just add crikey Parcell looked slick when he came on.

BTW that scoreline looks familiar, might be close to my favourite game in 1988

He picked up an injury against the Raiders to in his one and only scoot. His passing and tackling has been great. He just hasn't found a run yet.

Is it just me or does this sentence make literally no sense

That's how I read it.

I only got a chance to read the changed version and it made perfect sense. Then, I looked for a quote of the original text and it still made sense. I re read it again and finally I saw the typo ha ha....I'd like to think I would have worked it out from the context.

Seriously, this was great stuff from Vidot.

Great strength to score despite the attention of 3 defenders. Lyon and Stewart are not terrible defenders.

This is what I like to see from wingers. Scoring tries in difficult situations.

Everyone goes on and on about some of the athletic tries wingers score these days, when their whole body is over the sideline or whatever and they manage to ground the ball.

What Vidot did there was just as difficult in my opinion - of course, it's a totally different skill, but mighty impressive. He is one strong motherfucker.

Love watching him cart it back from our half. His leg drive is phenomenal.

Against Canberra, Vidot made a very good run with an offload to Gillett in the opening few minutes that nearly lead to a try, and showed decent speed. I think with a bit of space to wind-up he can be very damaging. I also like that when he gets a little close to the side line, he angles back infield, but doesn't actually stop running, and instead keeps pushing forward and makes about 15 metres after the initial contact is made, just carrying defenders with him.

I just don't know how to fit Vidot, Maranta, Reed, Kahu, Hodges, Copley, Boyd and Oates (who has ended up playing wing off the bench instead of in the forwards) all in the team. I guess were in a pretty healthy position when we have more players showing their worthy of a spot, as opposed to the number of positions we actually have available in the 17, something we haven't had in a long time.
