That was the definition of a perfect Friday night. Short of a 10 minute period in the middle, a damn near perfect game. Just seemed to leak a little up the center. Bennett saw it and McGuire was put on and the leaking stopped.

I was skeptical about bringing Bennett back. No longer, what he has done is borderline miraculous. I had a chuckle listening to him in the presser saying we were pretty lucky today with the bounce of the ball. Typical Wayne or Clint not wanting to get to excited about anything.

To me it was Hunts best kicking to date. Great kick chase as well and a tenacity and energy on both sides of the ball which was inspired. Vidot and Reed both shined as did more or less everyone else. On top of that I picked the lowly Titans to win and they did.

This may just be our year.

I didn't notice at first where Hodges was, I was thinking who is the person near the top left hand side.

Yeah my bad, according to the stats McCullough played 66 minutes and Parcell played 25 minutes, so there was an 11 minute period where McCullough was playing Lock and Parcell was Hooker.

Hodges on Reed.

"It's the hardest I've seen him work and the fittest he's been and the best his body shape he's had," said Hodges. "He's worked hard and it's a credit to him. He's worked hard and he's got his spot and he wants to keep it."

I hope he keeps this up. If he can perform like this consistently, I would be happy to keep him.

One thing it does hurt to say though is i think we looked a much better team when hodges went off, and kahu/Oates took over the right hand side.

He is finally starting to look like he can't quite keep up.

Also everyone has seemed to have forgotten about a guy called Copely. Where does he fit in the pecking order now?

I hope everyone understands this when I say we have had better victories this year.( The match over the Roosters in particular ) I just watched the game on delay and I knew the result first and read a lot of the comments so I was expecting a stellar performance . We were good in parts but we were not quite as good as some seem to think. There was a lot to like and plenty of improvement across the park but I urge all of you to watch it again a few times and think how we will perform against a much better side.

Stoked with the win and this seasons progress plus we are a genuine threat but we must, absolutely must improve. Not just by a little but by a decent amount. We are not far off but definitely not there yet. We need to stay firmly grounded.
