POST GAME Round 13 - Broncos vs Sea Eagles

What a great night. I always love it when Broncos beat Manly, especially when they smash them.

Everything clicked tonight and we put in the best performance I've seen since 2011.

I loved the aggression the Broncos showed in the first half. Whenever a player was bringing back a kick, they were determined to make sure they drove them back as far as they could. They were putting solid shots in and using the shoulder.

I noticed they targeted Foran. A lot of the time when he got a pass away, there was a player there putting him on his ass.

And DCE.. Well, he didn't show why he was worth 10 million tonight.

The only downside of tonight was the fucking suit in front of me with his girlfriend. Clearly she doesn't watch footy and was only there because she wanted more "quality time" together. They weren't even paying attention to the game half the time. They were just there yapping away over annoying shit and it was annoying the shit out of me. And it got worse when he tried to explain the game to her.. **** me dead.

And he insisted on putting his arm around her which invaded my space. I'm not a short guy, I have **** all leg room as it is. That fuckwit just made it worse.

The look he gave me when I pinned his hand against the seat because I had no fucking room for my knees..

These are the people that should be banned.

No worries at all. Cue jokes about mounting, riding, etc. Just got home and I'm eating a big bag of Victory potato chips and Victory milk from the carton, feels good.
 
You guys have summed it up pretty well so I will just add crikey Parcell looked slick when he came on.

BTW that scoreline looks familiar, might be close to my favourite game in 1988

I WAS WRONG ... BENNETT WAS THE RIGHT MAN FOR THE JOB.

ok ... you can all say "I told you so" now. after tonight's game, i'll just sit back and take it ... but i hope you don't mind if i have a big fucking smile on my face , while you say it :happy:

 
I hope everyone understands this when I say we have had better victories this year.( The match over the Roosters in particular ) I just watched the game on delay and I knew the result first and read a lot of the comments so I was expecting a stellar performance . We were good in parts but we were not quite as good as some seem to think. There was a lot to like and plenty of improvement across the park but I urge all of you to watch it again a few times and think how we will perform against a much better side.

Stoked with the win and this seasons progress plus we are a genuine threat but we must, absolutely must improve. Not just by a little but by a decent amount. We are not far off but definitely not there yet. We need to stay firmly grounded.

Told you so's are only for people who cannot admit that their view was in error. The fact that we are on top at the moment is a bonus, I wanted the respect back first. The results were secondary to me although important. We are Broncos.
 
I like the way we are building momentum with quicker play the balls, players running onto the ball, support play, kick chase and the passing game.

Our halves are dominating and making so much happen. So good to watch. Great team effort.

No disrespect to those with a differing opinion to mine but surely milfords last few weeks and boyds performance tonight gave the anti-Boyd faction some things to reconsider.

Great win. Hilarious to hear the boos poor chez was copping all night.
 
Every time he made a tackle someone near was yelling out " that's another $10000 dollar tackle"
 
great game, what a win. i think the moment that symbolised how much this team has changed since last year was that Oates tackle on Taufua, stopping him in his tracks when a try looked certain and the way Gillet raced over to help smash him into touch. Also people always talk about Milford's speed but one thing that is underestimated is his upper body strength, put on some big hits and stood up to some big hits himself.
 
Long time lurker, blah blah blah!

I loved our defence tonight, particularly in the first half. While our D has been solid for the majority of the season, I thought we were really stinging Manly tonight. Gillett was very good, and it was little things like Hunt flying in and throwing his body into a ball carrier to force a drop out that stood out.
