That's going to be a real pain in the arse when the interchange happens. Do they swap jerseys back again? If Roberts goes around the back to help a sweeping play, must he first ask Boyd for his jersey? The logistics, man, it does my head in.

It's to do with team lists, etc. printed at the time of naming.

Example would be say someone with a big league, which gets printed with lineups based on what is named Tuesday. If players were switching jerseys based on the game day lineup it wouldn't match what was reported earlier in the week.

If you were watching a game at the actual stadium (i.e. no commentary) and the number 12 in your guide was Gillette but actually he's been rested /injured in the lead up and a new 12 was running around you'd have no idea who it actually was.

More to give our entire second row a rest from origin duties. I don't think Gillett, Moose or Thaiday will play huge minutes. Ofa is another front rower and we don't need another front in the rotation this week.

Effectively Ese, Sims and TPJ have been selected over Offa.
