I never said it was all Corey's fault. But he's gotta go.
Baker was dogshit, he'll be gone next week with Willison back.
Mariner made an unforgiveable knock-on near the end too.
Big fan of Hethro, he's been terrible by his standards.
Madden didn't wrap the ball directly leading to the first try. He almost got falconed not watching another offload.
Cobbo was gassed. As was PC. Payne didn't even break 100m.
Jetski was bog average but serviceable and an upgrade on Hunt ... at times.
Piakura I called out in the live thread for his shit defence.
Mam was well off tonight, got drunk off the smell of his own farts at Origin camp possibly. He was poor.

I'll give all these clowns a rocket. Corey is past it and has no upside, unlike every player, even fucking Fletcher Baker, has a potential to raise their ceiling. Corey is over the fucking hill. Done. Slow. Shit hands. Shuts down our attack on the left because he can't keep up. There's no upside to riding out the pain with him.

I dont have any dramas with the criticism, but you clearly went all in with the focus on one player when pretty much our entire backline was worse than him. Post match thread, it was all about Oates. Nothing about Mariner playing worse and making more errors for example. Nothing about Sailor being shocking, just Oatesy.

What i'm replying to here is more balanced view ( and if you were being objective this would have been your first post in the post match thread, and the first part of it would have been a fair reflection of player performances ), but you still cant get past bagging him for his hands for hands for example when Staggs, Sailor, Mariner just off the top of my head dropped ball tonight. If you are going to give them all a rocket, give it to them all, not just the one player you have an agenda against after you get calkled out for it.

It sucks how much a loss wrecks your mindset in general isn’t it. I think the expectations we have on our team make it even harder

It's the burden of tough times. People hang a lot of hope for a bit of positivity (for once) in their lives on their team performing well and when it doesn't happen, you just go into another dogshit work week feeling crestfallen and fed up.

It’s crazy that we think we’re living through tough times right now though. We’ve literally got everything we need in life. It’s the wants that spiral our minds out of control.

Any winger trying to take the ball in that position is still taking a risk. Oatesy knows his limitations and for him tapping the ball back to a free player i still think was the best option in that particular instance, and Sailor really should have dealt with it comfortably, he just took his eye off the ball and made a hash of it.

Tbf, we are also looking at it with the benefit of replays and hindsight. I'm sure if i got back and watch the game again i could pick a lot of things we could have done better.

As i said in another post though, i've got no problems with any criticism of him, i just think its weird he's getting singled out when we had other players far worse than he was and very little is brought up.
That's the issue though, if he's playing wing and he can't do his job and defuse the kick then maybe he isn't up to the role.

Also if you are going to tap it, you tap it over the sideline and not in-field, in some ways he's lucky he's not copping more of a spray.

Oatesy isn't the only player copping it tonight. Fans hate losing, especially when it's back to back losses, so when something like that fails to come off you're going to hear about it.

I saw the result 10 minutes into the game. I want to say we are struggling in the middle, but that's not entirely true.

Every team has their best game against the Broncos...

When is Brisbane going to use defence as an offence? Arey is gone for the season. Walsh is too erratic. This is a coaching issue.
Other teams are full of grubs and thugs. We’re just a team full of nice guys. No mongrel what so ever. Look at our current captain, elite player but just the nicest guy ever. Cronulla bullied us in the second half and nobody could do a thing about it.

Exactly and it's been a problem with this team and this club for a long, long time now. Maybe we should swallow the bitter pill and bring Tallis in to coach a bit of anger and hate into them.

Do we need to talk about Mariner? His mental lapses are pretty concerning for me. I know he's young but these lapses don't appear to be due to age or experience.
He’s not alone either. Our team is still very young. A few of them continue to have mental lapses at key times .

Yeah get that, but his lapses look like he just spaces out. Like it's in his nature. He seems like a pretty laid back lad. He needs to switch on. When he does, he goes alright but he's costing us when he doesn't.

Name me a winger who catches every ball they go up for though. Its going to happen to the very best and that tap back wasn't the worst thing he could have done and he's copping shit for that in particular based on another player missing his assignment. I dont think its harsh to be critical of him, i think its harsh that he is clearly being singled out by some people here when others were a lot worse.

He's in a bit of a no win situation these days as he's a player who's best days are behind him and is just a backup player. We literally dont have another winger at the club available who would be performing any better right now. Thats not his fault, and he always gives 100%. He's still doing a solid job, but he's not going to pull off the things he used to do.

The only positive is, we played the ladder leaders, had one of the worst halves of the season and kept the margin to 10.

Backing up from origin without our halfback or fullback, I'm actually not too pissed about it.

If he went to the dolphins instead of Herbie our backline woes probably don’t even exist barring injury.

Kevy will be fine to get the boys firing again. He did it once and will do it again, I'm confident this is a temporary form slump
No he won't.

If he continues with the Briers, attack, attack, and scramble to defend errors, he's done.

I've said it all year. I feel like Broncogoat around Siebold.

I like Kevin and wish him well, but we got very lucky last year with injuries.

Kevin needs to ask hard questions around the strategy and team he's building. DD has seem this before. Interesting that Kevin and Ikin didn't get on.

I'll let the season play out.
