Does anyone know where I can find footage of Thaiday's post match interview where he discusses Hannant and Origin?

Having not seen it I assumed that he was gently down playing Hannant’s origin selection because he most likely already knew he wasn’t being picked but now based off other people’s comments it sounds like he was being a bit of an arrogant douche about it. Anyway it would be nice to see it and judge it for myself.

He made 10m per hitup for 16 hitups, made the 2nd most metres in our whole team, 4m behind hannant, who did so with 6 more hitups in 19 more minutes on the field. not really sure what more you can expect from him. his work rate was far and away the best of anyone on our team.

AP you do realise i was talking about HALA. NRL Stats show 10 HU for 75m after 2 runs he was gasping for air.:001_tt2: I thought Moose was great off the bench as i stated.

Have to remember the Broncos award is basically just shared around the players each season. It's not "really" a man of the match.

Just watched it myself. I wouldn't say arrogant douche, but it was interesting. Effectively "let's wait and see him play a few good games for us before he gets considered for Origin".

yeh just noticed the hala bit, my bad, but "showing a bit more starch" doesnt really fit with how well McGuire played. he was our best prop in metres per run and per minute.

I just did a ladder predictor thing on NRL.com and somehow managed to get the Broncos coming 7th on 28 points, equal with the Warriors, Cowboys, Raiders and Sharks also on 28.

Go figure.

So yeah, I watched it last night and while he wasn't quite an arrogant douche :) it definitely was weird. His wording about wanting Hannant to play good footy for the Broncos first before thinking about Origin made it sound like he hasn't been impressed with his form. Didn't Thaiday also have a little dig at Dodds after the Roosters game in Round 3? I'm sorry but the more I think about it the more I realize that he just isn't captain material, just my own opinion of course.

With Dodds I think he should've just said "If we'd been better in ruck defence", and with Hannant he could've just said "Ben would probably like to get a bit more match fitness before making the jump to Origin"...you know, something that doesn't sound personally critical.

Yeah poor form from Sam. He may be feeling the pinch a bit with his own average form and decided to do anything to keep his origin spot.
