Glenn might just be having a year where he is not in form. It happens for whatever reason

I've read that Glenn put on extra kilos at the start of the year. I think he's weighing too much. When he first started he was a bit of a light buggy, and now he's more of a truck. I think he had the best balance in 11/12, some decent size, but still good footwork to go with it....which he doesn't seem to make use of any more.

It was the same last year too. More kilos in the off season. It suited the flat attack, where they received the ball close to the defence and muscled through. That style is no longer useful because we don't have Lockyer delivering the ball to the perfect point, and defences have learned the style and adjusted. I remember in '09 or '10 he was as fast at sprinting as the backs (Beale etc) and that co-incided with his best form on-field, so I reckon he needs to drop back to or below the 100 kegs and gain some mobility and speed off the mark.

Both will be tough losses. Hopefully Hannant does make it in allowing us to push Thaiday to the right fringe and Gillett to the left. Bench will be weaker but could be a blessing in disguise.

Either way, boys have to suck it up and win.

I'm guessing we'll go in with something like that if Glenn doesn't pull up fit, we'll finally get a chance to see how Thaiday performs in his preferred position, hopefully he has a blinder to prove to Griffin that he's silly for playing him out of position for Gillett and Glenn, both of whom are top 5 in missed tackles in the NRL this year.

I doubt we will see anything different, maybe a better defensive effort, but still, I can see the traditional Broncos game plan:. endless one-out running, no support play and we just wait, or hope, we can get some structure in their red zone for a decent attacking shot.

Oh for a good passing game in all thirds of the field, oh for getting the ball to do the work - getting it out wide.

Never mind. I can always watch replays of when Lockyer was calling the shots

Hook treats him like shit which makes it hard for him to improve, Q cup one week, a ten minute stint off the bench in the next, makes it hard for him to really know his status in the club. He is a good player that has to deal with a really bad coach.

Ridiculous that Jake Granville isn't in the top 17 and is running around in the QLD cup. He showed a lot of promise against the Gold Coast and Canterbury and looks like a real prospect.

Granville or Baptiste. Using a player who doesn't seem to quite be a halfback OR a hooker instead of one of these 2 is just insane. Especially with McCullough dudding it up more and more.
