Yeah, it was a sucky time. Alfie retired suddenly after the draw against the Cowboys in round 8. Broncos then lost to the Storm in Melbourne, then in Alfie's "farewell" in Brisbane in round 10 we went down to the Roosters and Lockyer did his knee. Round 11 we snuck a win against Balmain - which was the first of 11 straight wins - and a bye in round 12...only leapfrogged Wests to get off the bottom when we beat them 50-0 in round 13!

Remind me again how we finished that year...? :winky:

Hmmm, Bookies have us as overwhelming favourites for this one (Wests are $3.85). Don't think we should be anywhere near that. Also, I haven't been watching the footy shows on any channels. Is anyone talking about how bad we are going? "Outsiders" seem to think that we are a team of stars who are always really hard to beat, but anyone who has watched our last 21 games (nearly a full season!) would have to say that we are clearly a team in trouble. That being said, hopefully we smash the tiggers on Monday......

please. the difference between this year and the 1999 team is that the 1999 team was a premiership team the year before and was full of genuine superstars of the game.

Another difference is that the 1999 team arguably played in 1999.

We are really missing him. Parker can't lead the way by himself.

Look, I'm quietly confident we can get up against the Tiges in a close one. What I am confident about however, is that you will SEE an extra-emely improved defensive effort from the lads.

Look for the boys to keep the visitors below 10 on the scorecard.

FIH, I would feel a lot more comfortable if you were talking up the tigers, because it seems like everything you predict the opposite happens.

I'll be making the trek to the game so hope the boys can get a win. We should win this if we are close to our best. Just need to bring the right attitude in defence.

What does an emely improved defensive effort look like? Depending on what this emely thing is, I'm not sure I want ours to have it in extra amounts.
