Last night proved there are too many passengers out there that aren't being honest in their performance. The fact that they came out in the second half and showed some effort and intensity in their running demonstrates they are capable, but for whatever reason they don't want to work for more than a 10min spell.
For me that is leadership and accountability, there was a set where we were struggling to get out of our own end and I watched Thaiday for 5 tackles standing behind the play with his hands on his hips, a captains play would have been to take the tough hit up and inspire some leadership. There is a leadership void in that squad atm and it's preventing them from being honest with themselves, and i don't mean the empty rhetoric they think fans want to hear, they should be telling it to themselves and each other, not us!
The attitude stinks and because of injuries and the loss of someone like teo on the bench, the fear of losing your spot isn't there, so either is the motivation to do the extras or the accountability for failing to. The fact that they were able to run harder and with more intensity and purpose for 10mins is what makes me mad because if they can do it for 10 they can do it for 80, it's an indictment of laziness.
