this is no excuse for our own performances but we sure have a knack of running into teams at the wrong times.

v warriors they'd just coem off a good win and were finding form.
v raiders they're at home and havent lost there since july 2012 and playing confidently there.
v tigers well they've been shite all year but two wins in a row and benji is starting to look better now

as for our side i dont know. i dont think the team can be tweaked positionally any better. maybe granville could add something. but thats not going to win us the game. a positive was dodds effort tonight. maybe its time we gave up on thaiday in the front row with dodds hala and jarrod wallace coming along.

attitude and desire needs to change.

A must win, if we lose here, it truly is the apocalypse of Red Hill!

I wouldn't expect many changes to be announced tomorrow but I hope Hook shakes things up a bit come game day.

I'll think on what I'd like the 17 to look like.

Enjoy the slump, this time we have no good start to the season to save us.

This is a great time to get the Tigers, they have no Farah, who is hands down their best player. No excuses can me made on that front.

As for if we win, I honestly couldn't give a ****.

I'm gonna agree with the people saying we should drop Norman. We are just wasting time having him in the side. Next year will most likely be between Kahu and Hoffman, so I'd just give Kahu a go there now.

The team I'd announce

1. Corey Norman
2. Josh Hoffman
3. Jack Reed
4. Justin Hodges
5. Jordan Kahu
6. Scott Prince
7. Peter Wallace
8. Josh McGuire
9. Andrew McCullough
10. David Hala
11. Alex Glenn
12. Matt Gillett
13. Corey Parker

14. Jake Granville
15. Sam Thaiday (c)
16. Mitchell Dodds
17. Corey Oates

- I don't want to change that backline up too early. The biggest mistake Norman made was signing with the Eels, he's still one of our better backs and while his running game annoys me to no end we simply don't have the alternatives to make a long term move. Kahu is an option down the line but I don't think he's ready for the responsibility and the boys need to concern themselves with the victory.

- I also went with the same halves. I don't think we're going to get anywhere by chopping and changing each week until one finally plays well so let's settle on the two vets and give Hunt some time in QCup to impress.

- Only one change to the forward pack and this is a political one. Time to send a message to the players - Thaiday on the bench and if the players don't perform I'm sure we can find a bunch who will appreciate the opportunity to achieve their dream and play in the premier Rugby League side. Hopefully it doesn't come to that and Thaiday takes the hint. When Thaiday is on, he needs to handle the ball every set. No exceptions or excuses.

- #17 could be anyone whether it's Oates, Gibb, Lingwoodock, Molo, Timu I don't mind but let's give that spot to a new face and get them ready for the future and Origin series. Granville comes back in because we need a natural hooker there.

Swap Dodds and Hala and I will be happy. If Hannant is fit drop Thaiday

I can be liberal with Hala and Dodds. Given the way they're used, Dodds would be a safer bet over all.

I like your team Pete.

Dropping Thaiday to the bench sends a strong message and giving some new guys a shot at #17 allows them game time and we can see what they're made of.

Also Hunt should just play 7 for 80 minutes in the reserves, Granville is a better bench hooker and Hunt is likely to be in the halves next year so he needs the practice.

Hannant will play I believe. Can't see many changes at this point. Probably wait until after Origin and us playing like crap for a lot of change to be made.

Hannant will be a big boost. I don't know if I would throw him straight into the starting side but that will allow for Gillett and Glenn to come off.

If he comes back, then I'd have #17 drop off. He's just there because I believe he suits Hook's style of trying to keep the starting formation on as long as possible. If you're going to do that, you might as well throw a talented up and comer into the mix and let them learn the game around NRL quality talents.

yeh hannant will be a boost.

as posted thaiday back to 2nd row as most of us have been saying for 2 years.

i'd also like to see prince play the dominant #7 role.

it sorta seems like the halves just dont talk to each other which is what causes all these lack of 5th tackle option

I believe it's a reflection of how the halves tend to stick to their sides of the field. Hook needs to let them move around more.

I am honestly starting to believe a number of key players are having their natural game coached out of them by Hook

Absolutely NO creativity. Zero. Blot. Bereft of attack except in their red zone. One out x 4 or 5 then kick and hope until we get into their red zone and we decide to pass the ball.

What a retrograde, nuffie game plan. Pure Bennett Ball but without the likes of Webcke, Civo Tunza and Thorn
