POST GAME Round 15 - Knights vs Broncos

Just watched the presser

Seibs is trying very hard to dodge saying what we all are publicly, and heā€™s between a rock and a hard place so I feel for him a bit. I donā€™t think he thought the situation is as dire as itā€™s turned out. The team was still going ok and heā€™d just have to debut some kids and keep on keeping on. Which is probably what most of the league and (other teamsā€™) fans saw on the surface. But it wasnā€™t going to be painless and thereā€™s been some unfortunate factors that have made things a lot worse. I hope everything turns around for him, but he does need to draw a line in concrete, not sand. Heā€™ll live or die by his decisions this year, past and future.

He is taking the wrap for the players not being up for games, so thatā€™s step one, now he has to try and change that going forward. I donā€™t think itā€™s all on him yet though, because players do still need to have some dignity and self-respect in putting in good performances, which several canā€™t honestly say they are.

Lastly, **** me there are some spastic journos in there. Last question was ā€˜have you released Suā€™A before June 30?ā€™

ā€˜I think Souths announced that yesterdayā€™

Come on

I wonder what it was that made seibold so excited to coach here in the first place. Was it because the broncos beat him twice last year? Unless the squad was full of origin stars like in the Lockyer years, youā€™re absolutely mad to inherit this kind of squad from Bennett. Itā€™s career suicide.

You keep kidding yourself with your anti Wayne agendas.

So nothing then. Blaming Seibold for a decision made by other people. Even if McGuire wasn't in Seibold's plans, it wasn't him that offloaded him. He wasn't even at the fucking club.

I would love to see some proof. Because all the reports say otherwise. The club facilitated a move for McGuire to Cowboys and Bennett was consulted. All of this while Seibold was still at Souths.

I read an article by either Crash or Mike Colman that said both Bennett and Seibold had a say in whether Josh McGuire stays or goes.

Neither of them really 'owned' the decision and neither of them fought hard to keep him.

Whether he's right for the team or not, he played nearly 200 games for us over 10 years. Moose should've been treated better - regardless if he stays or goes.

It's reflective of just what a shambles the way we went about changing coaches was.

Itā€™s time to start looking at the coach
He canā€™t even get them to turn up
We were not anywhere near as bad as this with bennett
To be fair though seibold doesnā€™t like this team and sadly for him he canā€™t just go in one months time from now have the answer....
He cannot just bench every player and too be fair it wasnā€™t even the forward packs fault this game it was 9,7,6,4,3 & 2 the whole backline virtually played rubbish and there is a fairly easy fix to it and this time it is sacking them and reshuffles
1. Milford
2. Oates
3. Coates
4. Staggs
5. Isaako
6.Paix
7.Oā€™sullivan
8. Lodge
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Glenn (C)
12. Gillett (C)
13 TPJ
14. Segeyaro (Staggs once Bird is back)
15. Flegler
16. Ofehangue
17. Fifita jnr
I have no more tolerance for Boyd,
Pat carrigan or shibasaki.... however McCullough did play horribly in that first half however that short stint in the first half may hav kept his respect as a footballer from the club and many fans so he may keep his spot starting with turnin on the bench and segeyaro back at q-cup

Keep on keeping on Mr Agenda.

Darius' refusal to "hang 'em up" has made him a laughing stock in the media and now our club is a laughing stock for the floundering decisions we are making.

One of the broncos strengths was our success, that attracted (and kept) quality players. How do u attract quality players to our club playing like this?

Bennett knew he wasnt going to be coach so it probably wouldnt have mattered either way to him in terms of the Broncos, but Bennett wouldnt have stood in his was i dont believe if the move was going to be so financially lucrative to Moose. He rarely has ever done that. Seibold however could have tried to keep him if he wanted to.

Care to explain where I even said it was Bennett that offloaded him?

I dont really care, no. But you do seem to keep banging on about Seibold not being at the club. Officially, he wasnt, but every man and his dog knew he was already the coach. And when anyone brings up how we werent this bad under Bennett, you seem to pipe up fairly quickly about it. If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, its probably an anti Bennett agenda.

If Boyd has an ounce of credibility he would retire today. He would muster the courage to acknowledge he is done. I think the players are frustrated and gutted from the look in the sheds. The players looked fed up with Boyd and if Seibs doesn't send him packing then he will lose the shed.

Milf was our whole spine tonight. He was 7,6, 1 and hooker at times when Macca was out there.

We had a bounce in form i think due to Seggy. He is infectious and we need him back. The boys looked like they respected him from the get go.

They don't look up to Boyd and Macca thats for sure. Boyd single handedly took any momentum we had and shit his pants. He is joke, he is fool and he should be ashamed. If he is not the boys should come into the showers with socks full of soap bricks and slog the **** out of him.

Siebs the year is toast. Send those two back to qrl and bring Seggy and anyone else in. Tell the boys to go out and have some fun. Play for the fans and just do your best.
As I was saying in the pre game thread Seibs is absolutely gutless in making ANY hard decisions.

He should have stuck to Harvard or whatever; at least those textbooks canā€™t judge what a spineless person you are (yeah I know this is harsh but damn it Iā€™m completely mad at him now).

I blame Bennett for keeping Darius and Macca in the side last year.
I equally blame Seibold for still keeping these two in the side.

Don't care about the coaches, I fucking care about the success of the Brisbane Broncos, and the board fucked up. This is all on the board, White and Lockyer.

You really seem to drive that agenda line whenever people on here don't agree with what you're saying... Especially when it comes to Carrigan. But providing facts is now an anti-Bennett agenda, is it? Stupid, stupid, stupid. You know how to use wikipedia, right? I would suggest you do a quick search on that.

It's pretty common knowledge who was responsible for what happened with McGuire and even McGuire said it was him that asked to be released from his contract. You claimed to know otherwise and instead of backing up your claim you decided to trot out that stupid "you have an agenda" line that you seem to be growing more fond of which is kind of strange considering I never even said it was Bennett that offloaded McGuire.. I'm sure both coaches shared their opinion on McGuire and their plans but they weren't the ones that were offloading him.

Didn't watch the game because I was getting peer pressured in to drinking too much when out with for my sisters birthday. Is it safe to assume I should not bother watching the replay?

Pretty safe.

But you could turn into a game.. Take a drink whenever Darius Boyd ***** something up. You won't remember it in the morning.

Provided you watch it tonight and donā€™t remember it once youā€™ve sobered up tomorrow, go for it

The Carrigan stuff i post is very tongue in cheek. If you havent realised that by now, if i were you i'd be looking at a dictionary instead of wikipedia to find out the meaning of stupid.

Mcguire had to ask for a release, its just the way things work sometimes to save a lot of hassle. I dont need to back up my claim. Like i always say, its up to people what they want to believe. I know for a fact my version of events is correct. I'm not really bothered either way if people believe me or not. I dont go around recording my conversations with any Broncos player or players i know, so i'm not quite sure what you are looking for.

I think i must have hit a nerve with my agenda comment.
