POST GAME Round 16 - Roosters vs Broncos

Abysmal... Don't give up on the club guys. Stick true, we will come good. All clubs must go through it.
Our team is trash but it's the game as well. Just really hard to watch. They need to scrap the 6 again rule, captain's challenge and the stripping rule. While they're at it, blow the fucking bunker up and get two refs back out there.

Can someone please tell me why we signed Croft?

To let Dearden develop in QLD Cup mostly. I don't think anyone expected him to stink it up this badly, he was never even close to being this bad at the Storm.

He didn't have to do much thinking at the Storm, it was all done for him by Smith and Munster and we then signed him as our marquee half back to manage our game. Right.

Gus qustioning our retention and recruitment, yet no mention of our outs.

Milford
Haas
Glenn
Oates
TPJ
Bird
Flegler
Isaako
Coates
Lodge
Turpin

That's 11, and arguably 9-10 of those are from our starting 13.

only 3 of those guys would get a run in another side, don’t think we can hide behind the injury list.

I am seeing a fair amount of hate for Croft this evening but goddamn I reckon he would have done a better job than SOS tonight. Man was he in a lot of the lowlights of the game. Even as a neutral fan it pisses me off listening to the commentators list out the Roosters injury toll while I am watching the Redcliffe Dolphins run out for the Broncos. Is there a market for first poor tackle resulting in a try because that Kennedy bloke for a big man sure knows how to let one in early. Trying to think of some positives, maybe Dearden had mostly classy touches (apart from the kick out on the full)?

I disagree. I reckon Flegler, Lodge and Haas would have made a big difference to our shit middle tonight, Bird would not completely stifle our attack but ignite it, nor avoid defence, and in form TPJ would add a lot to our mongrel and those offloads, Milford and Dearden combine well and are getting better, ... and Glenn adds a bit of leadership and generally solid defence.

SOS's first game back with no games under his belt in a year. No-one was expecting much.
The reason for the Croft hate - he is in those low-lights week in week out (when he's not dropped or injured). His attacking decisions are pitiful, he's got a lot of errors in his game and he has almost boyd levels of effort in defence several times per game.

Yeah, TPJ would have at least taken it to JWH
