Today's performance by Tesi gives us a bit of leeway on TMM now... if we lost they would be seriously thinking about rushing him back and needling him for the pain, but Tesi got through the game and provided some serious spark in attack.

His confidence will be sky high now, which is much needed with a derby game against titans next up.

The week after that is Parra away, which will be tough for Tesi with Moses raining down torp bombs, but if we can get a good win against Titans and Tesi has another good game then he'll go into it confidently... and that will have given TMM 3 weeks off.

The week after that is Tigers... so pending how the eels game goes we could potentially take Tesi into that and provide TMM with 4 weeks or so off to recover with the ribs

I have seen TMM drop a cpl of bombs too .
He is not the mesiah at FB .

What does TMM do that Tesi can`t ?
Tesi had the job till he was injured . TMM took over .
Composure, it's still way too early to think Niu is at the same level as Martin, he has been very inconsistent when we have had him in the side, good games are generally followed by shockers, I think we should get a few games in before Martin will be ready.
Niu will need to be alot more consistent then the past to keep the spot, he has the ability though.

Like @Mustafur said, composure. He always look dead calm, like he is still in the warm-up.

But also the experience to wrap up the ball. I know not many fullbacks would have stopped Suli yesterday, but if I had to back a fullback to get it done, I would have TMM Up there. He wouldn't have stopped him getting over the line, but he has managed to save a heap of tries this year by knowing how to wrap the ball up and get his body between the ball and the turf. And he looks to be a far smaller build than Tesi, so it is absolutely a technique and confidence thing as opposed to strength.

Could TMM have backed up that Hetherington break ?
I doubt he would have the acceleration to get there . TMM has been good . I think TMM is a decent 1st grader . I think Tesi can be a star .

Meh , TMM got lucky a cpl of times . Not gonna hold guys up every week .
I thought Tesi had a cool head to let the ball go dead twice yesterday . He`s gonna grow into the job .

And all the talk about how good our defence is with TMM . I think the team just got it`s shit together in defence around the same time . We`ll see over the next month or so .

Except he kind of has. Almost every week there will be an over-the-line try-saver that really should have been scored but TMM wraps it up.

I think if you hope the FB is gonna get under the ball every time and save the day you are very optimistic .
I would hope the front line don`t let it get to that .

We saw Herbie and Selwyn strip the ball as guys were attempting to score too .
Then last week we saw Selwyn try another strip and he was left grasping air . You can get lucky some times .

I'm not saying every time. But he does it enough to be an advantageous trait that Niu does not (yet) possess that I factor in to the comparison between the two.

I don’t know how many back up here. 3/4 day turn around after a huge period and then a 5 day turn around for the Eeps game the following week. I reckon maybe Flegler and Oatesy. Someone like a Selwyn might but Capes and Pat (Pat especially) deserve a rest before we take on the final stretch which starts with a big game against the Eels. If we can clutch both the Eels games we probably make too 4 if the rest goes unhitched

Given our run into the finals and the number of players we've had out for origin and injury (11?), I'd consider resting everyone that plays origin. The last thing we need to Capes or Carrigan getting injured backing up.

Give the baby broncs another game, the Titans won't be easy by any means, but the games that follow will be even harder. That will set us up for a big tilt over the last few rounds. We're a bit walking wounded at the moment.

Carrigan should definitely be rested, I'm so worried we are going to burn him out before the business end of the season. Flegs should be able to back up if he even plays at all. Capewell should also be rested and I wouldn't be rushing back any of the torn insert body part here squad. Err on the side of caution with everyone. Freshen the origin guys up and get them coming back firing. At the end of the day, the win yesterday was a massive bonus so even a loss to the Titans isn't the end of the world, though our squad depth has proven to be good enough to match it with that level of opposition. The Titans will be up for this one as they have nothing else left really this season, so I can see them coming out looking to hurt our guys, so keep the already hurt guys out of the firing line.

Yeah, Flegs should definitely play as he's just 18th man. I would just rest them all, I liked what I saw from Hoeter and Perera last night, so I wouldn't rush Oates and Cobbo back either. Good to give the babies another run, it will set us up nicely later on in the season if we have injuries.
