Yep. I didn't rate Capewell and felt the game had passed him but I've underestimated his part in the cog. He wasn't perfect but we looked way more solid in defense and attack out that side.

I get he's the next big thing ... but it would be a mistake to bring him in too early.

A mistake the best teams don't make, but we've been making regularly since the Seibold nightmare era.

If the club is serious about playing Mozer this year, then it’s against the dogs. We’ve got a bye next week so there’s two weeks work he can have working with the other spine members. 20-30mins off the bench would be a perfect welcome to the NRL.
I remember hearing Scanlan say in the off-season that Mozer will get his chance this year. Smoothy is a downgrade on Paix so it’s Mozers turn imo.

Mozer will be playing in the U19 State of Origin though so he wouldn't have time to rest, it's not going to happen.

I highly doubt Kevvie would take him out of that to have him debut.

That was the Haas and Cobbo show. Without them we lose easily. Definitely one of those smash and grab games where you take the two points and bolt.

Clunky in attack and weak defence on the edges. We have a lot to work on before the finals, and luckily for us we have plenty of time to fix it. It's time to wet Mozer's whistle cause Smoothy is anything but smooth. Too panicky and not ready for the rigours of first grade.

It’s not really, he will maybe have U19 Origin on the Thursday to make him either back up or drop out isn’t fair.

I'm not convinced he is struggling. He pretty much won the game for us a couple of games ago. He wasnt great tonight though

I thought he was good with the ball just poor kicking in general. He was getting the ball where it needed to be. In the hands of stags and mam. Wasn't his best but not his worse as well.

Staggs needs to learn that he doesn't have to wait until his opposite centre scores points before putting pressure on them.

Herbie or Staggs kicking duty please.

I still feel that Jensen should never have lost his starting spot, he's basically the Billy Walters of props.

Piakura is still doing well which is nice.

I think a big reason Reynolds was poor was because of the ground, it's much harder to place your kicks where you want to on Ovals as it's harder to work out the line markings.

I thought his ability to pop a high ball off a lineout was exceptional though and nothing on him as they all cleared the 10.

His decision making was off radar in everything though. He didn't look threatening at all and his goal kicking again put us under extra pressure.

He's either carrying a hidden injury or suffering a form slump heading into the business end of the year. Very concerning.

Wouldn’t be rushing to sign Reynolds. He can get extended if he starts next year well. Not now. His goal kicking is terrible and we aren’t getting repeat sets or good field position.

Repeat sets haven’t been a thing for us for a nearly decade.

I must have been watching a different game. We completed sets very well in the first half and not too good in the second but still enough to complete at 85%. I thought piakura, haas, carrigan and cobbo were pretty solid. Willison was good too I thought, defended well and was hard to put down. Weird night for the spine. Walters was probably our best spine player apart from that shank with the boot. Smoothy is not an nrl hooker. Neither is paix though so it could be time to blood mozer. Apparently paix has been ordinary in qcup as well. Pretty decent with 4 key players missing, all representatives.

I must admit I didn't think Reynolds was poor but obviously not as dominant as he has been at times. I think he kept the young fellas under control pretty well to be able to finish the game well. Imo that is his main job.
