Tough call on staggs (i love what he brings offensively and versatility wise, but just for the balance post origin turpin fits more and we seen what happened to the titans tonight without at least 3 genuine forwards on the bench) and sims (he is under rated on here when looking at this year. He wasnt good last year but this year he locks down our middle defensively when he comes on) but I just think the others offer more, at the moment (but sims and staggs will make their way back into the team before the finals-staggs has x factor!). Staggs has more talent then kahu but doesnt mean he will be consistently better, he has only played a total of about a game and a half so far. But he is a hell of a talent, patience everyone though!
Pearson impressed me alot tonight but oates, is oates. Fifitas time will come but his maturity impresses me.
As insinuated above, i dont think this is our best team, but i think its the team for next week. Unless bennett wants to rest the origin players (roberts particularly due to his achillies, and possibly macca and mcguire due to workload) i wouldnt be totally against it.
Imagine, we still have the best 2nd rower in the game (gillett), and an origin player + premiership winner + rookie of the year (bird) to come back into the top 17. Bloody hell we have devoloped some depth. Incredible how their has been a proper SQUAD developed since bennett got back
