We’re in a position to let Isaako have time off to heal properly.
If Isaako is injured, I’d love to see:
1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Roberts
4. Staggs
5. Kahu
6. Milford
7. KNik (he’s starting to show something)
8. Lodge
9. Macca
10. Thaiday
11. TPJ
12. Su’A
13. Joffa
14. Turpin
15. McGuire
16. Sims
17. Glenn
He showed he can backup well but that's about it imo he is struggling to take that next step.
You mean KNik? Yeah he is absolutely struggling to take that next step, no doubt about that. He’s been woeful as a halfback at times but there are just some signs starting to show that the improvement, although slow, is there.
The team has been winning ugly and yesterday finally clicked, hopefully this helps that improvement speed up.
I also do think crisp service from the dummy half certainly helped these guys be that little bit more slick as well.
Kahu can kick goals too.Pearson instead of Kahu and Glenn starting over TPJ and I'm on board. (Staggs can kick goals, don't need Kahu)

I'm on board with you there - Glenn is everything you want in a player, fairly consistent, low maintenance, relatively cheap. Has experience but isn't the wrong side of 30.It does happen a fair bit with the younger guys. They start well and all of a sudden we can dump proven players. I'm astounded this year the amount of people that want to offload Glenn. He has been consistently good all year.

Having said that, in the next couple of years we will need to make tough decisions with regards to phasing out some players in order to keep the ones we've got coming through, assuming the ones coming through continue to develop. Glenn may be in that bracket. Gillett I think too.
By the end of 2020, again assuming the players continue to develop, I don't see a place for the two aforementioned. Gillett perhaps even moreso than Glenn, as I don't think we've really missed a beat without him.true ... but they're not there yet ... if we keep them for the next couple of season's, the young brigade (assuming we keep them) will be ready to take over.

what? kahu was kicking before he got injured. wouldn't that be enough proof lol"Staggs can kick goals, don't need Kahu"
Does not technically state that Kahu kicks goals

I think Mago might be an ese'ese, hangs around for a year or two and plays ok and then gets a decent contract elsewhere. Good for him if so, but there's still a logjam. Not downplaying Gilletts ability at all, just that if you lose a player for the best part of a year and his spot is taken by a young gun that renders his lose minimal, perhaps you need to think of the future.Isn’t Su’a a left side player playing on the right? I reckon we’re missing a bit with Gillett, primarily because we’ve had to play TPJ on an edge. He’s playing extremely well there, but just imagine our middle with TPJ in the rotation and no Mago, who has been good but not great. His experience and leadership would be valuable as well as his combo with Niko which was good last season.
and the fact that our forward pack was an unstoppable rolling juggernaut. You mean KNik? Yeah he is absolutely struggling to take that next step, no doubt about that. He’s been woeful as a halfback at times but there are just some signs starting to show that the improvement, although slow, is there.
