PRE-GAME Round 18 - Broncos vs Warriors

1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Kahu
5. Isaako
6. Milford
7. Nikorima
8. Lodge
9. Macca
10. Thaiday
11. Glenn
12. Su'A
13. McGuire

14. Offa
15. TPJ
16. Sims
17. Turpin

I feel it would be best to rest Roberts after origin as he continues to manage his Achilles injury. If Isaako is out then Pearson should come in. This would also help us match the Warriors big outside backs with our own. Turpin should be rewarded for his game last week and be used to rest Macca after the origin series. Sims gets the spot over Mago purely due to being able to play longer minutes to rest McGuire.

The drubbing they copped from the Panthers is why people shouldn't take the Warriors lightly.

The early mail is saying Hiku is going to be axed who was a big part of why the Warriors lost so badly last week. It's not going to be an easy game and these games rarely are easy.
I don't think it will be easy by any means. Warriors will be fired up.

That said, if the teams runs as hard as we did against the Titans, they'll find it hard to get into the game.

@tajhay how did your supporters feel about Hiku last week? From what I saw (and I watched the whole match), his defense was Bryce Cartwright level soft. He didn’t even try to make some tackles and gave up on chases, even though he could have made a difference. Must be a bit of anger towards him surely?

Very much so. All the fans are in uproar, and reality is he should have been hooked midway through the game. He is the worst defensive centre in all of the NRL. So many tactical blunders in that game. First Kearney went into the game with Tevaga and Beale on the bench...when our forward pack is small and doesnt provide enough go forward as it is. Can always count on Adam Blair for his 30 odd metres though...ha. Was against his signing and still am. Kearney used Tevaga as a prop for 60 odd minutes....Ligi Sao finally came off the bench in the 63rd minute or something. I blame Kearney as much as our powderpuff forwards.

Will be interesting to see what changes come after last weeks game. Everyone expecting Beale to replace Hiku....but Kearney is stubborn as **** so who knows.

Yeah Blair, the metre eating machine...is something you would never hear. You might have been against it, I was over the moon when you guys signed him. Hehe

I'm sure we could match that team easily with the media including Kent, Tallis, Ikin, Alexander etc Perhaps we could get a pre match game organised for it?

Over the years of watching the Warriors play I tend to find if you put points on them early and make a huge effort to stop their offloads/second phase play they are want to lose concentration and quite quickly unravel. Stopping their offloading I think is key to frustrating their natural tendency to play free flowing (dare I say) rugby style footy.

Fixed it for you, I know how much you like it when I do. Added bonus is that it makes me feel superior but in a really nice way.

I don't think Roberts will back up with his achilles problem

I just want our forwards to dominate the way they can. By all means stop the offloads, but if all of our forwards fire with strong running and stinging defence, theyll be doing the offloads in their own half.
What i DONT want is our backs trying to win the game in the fist twenty minutes with 6th tackle sweeping backline moves inside our own half, based on an overconfience from a win last week.
We need to build dominance in possession and field position. Do that and the warriors will crumble.
