Foxsport also entirely omitted big Gary was also coming back from origin in their original statement. Not sure if they have corrected it yet.

I hate Parramatta so it hurts me even more to say I see us losing this one. ***** always turn up against us.

Hopefully that’s our team for Thursday. If that’s close to our team then if we show up we can definitely beat the Eels.
I would rather Gamble not do Hooker, Turpin wasn't that bad either last game atleast compared to his usual standards.

The times when Gamble has slotted into dummy half hasn't been the best, he works much better at First or second receiver(Which he can still do at Lock), basically at his best when receiving the ball at speed.

Billy has been a big improvement though, once Paix is back I think I would rate us in the top 5 or so of Hooker combinations with those two, a huge upgrade on the past where I felt we where probably last or thereabouts in the competition on Hooker quality.

Yea Walters is getting pretty good at 9. Been doing too many minutes without paix though, you can tell he's been really gassed the last few games.

I’m such a massive fan of what Paix brings to the team. He’s not elite by any stretch but he does so much for the speed and execution of our attack.

One thing I loved with last week was Kevvie's use of Gamble.

He brought him on with 10min to go in the first half and he was running around like a second halfback and just causing chaos to the defensive line.

He just has to stay in the side from now on.

That 17 jersey has basically been a waste all year, but in Gamble we have a legitimate option coming off the bench to really create an impact.

He'll have bigger challenges moving forward in the season and having to defend in the middle against larger forward packs... starting this week with Parra... but if he can hold his own in defence then we have a guy who can provide plenty in attack coming off the bench.

He got through 30mins in his stint, but his engine might get bigger as he gets used to the new role.. but even at 30mins it's far better than Palasia getting 10mins as an after thought, which is how the 17 jersey has been used this year outside of Gamble

Also from the snippets we get of the sheds after a win he brings a good energy around the group much like Gamble.

I'm not expecting to see them play like the solid pre-origin team until such times as we get Herbie back, a fit and firing TMM and a fully fit Reyno. I could Haas to that list but we have shown his inclusion is not strictly vital nowadays.

interesting… I certainly feel like we’re going to be able to field a team that should be capable of playing top 4 footy even if it’s without a few pieces and with Reynolds not fully fit. We won’t be at the peak of our powers, but we certainly should be able to replicate the elements that made us successful over that run - particularly the fast line speed

Gambler was gassed when he came off .
Maybe the stress fracture cut down his running training ?

I did like the way he took on the line . When he plays in the halves he thinks pass 1st then run . I like him running 1st then passing later in the game . Less predictable .

I'm really hoping Riki plays like he did last game because if he does, Papalii and Lane are going to have a big job marking our dudes. Should be a cracking game.

I thought Riki had his best game last week .
Ran with more purpose than we have seen this season .An improvement on his improvement the week before .
I keep excusing him for having a rib cartilage injury . That pass should have run out by now .

1. Niu

5. Pereira
6. Mam

11. Riki
12. Capewell
13. Carrigan
14. Paix
15. Hetherington
16. Flegler
17. Gamble/Palasia

Niu has been good offensively but I am shitting myself about his incompetency defensively. Backline, whilst obviously isn’t ideal to not be fully fit will get the job done. Forward pack back at full strength is really important for this game. Bench and hooker rotation looking as good as ever. Can’t wait to Selwyn, TMM and Herbie back for the run home.

Fucken he's the fucken best we fucken got mate

**** me

Out: Turpin, Kennedy, James

Thank **** for that, don't have to put up with the Kennedy vs James debate when really, neither of them are at NRL standard

Well these dick heads seem confident. Thinking they will just jump into 4th after our game... God I hate Parra, not just from the beatings they've given us recently, but growing up in Western Syd I hated all their stupid fans.

They might flog us, we are as good a chance of flogging them too.. one thing is for sure though, this should be a season for Parra where they aren't worried about falling into the top 4, this is the last season of their premiership window for mine

They are in all sorts if they lose this game

I don’t understand why Selwyn wouldn’t be playing?

Paix will be elite one day, the one two punch of him and Mozer in the future will be crazy

Thinking about this game.

Kind of hoping Matterson/Cartwright and Gamble plays. Gamble will be able to get under their skin and ruffle them up. As soon as that happens Parra melts down.
