POST GAME Round 19 - Broncos vs Tigers

This try was awesome.

Not just because of the pass from Milford and Reed staying in field, but because of the work from Hunt & Glenn. Hunt holding the pass until the last second and Glenn's run sucked in Moses and opened the hole for Boyd.

Great stuff.

10 hitups for 96 meters and 37 tackles. Not what he is capable of producing but his team was starved of possession for a while but topping his teams tackle count and making the 2nd most runs is evidence that he was making an effort.
He just seems to have adopted the smart arse niggle. Which I think he should get out of his game . He's become a penalty magnet. I rated him a year or so ago, not so much now.

Our kicking game was thes best I've seen it in quite some time....and a lot of that had to do with Milf taking the pressure off Hunt. It's all coming together nicely.....

Although it sucked when they put on 3 tries quickly, I honestly think it will do us wonders comes finals time and the tougher games comming up. Shows if you even turn off for 10mins the bottom place team can whack 3 tries on you. They will learn.

How solid is maranta getting? Surely the most improved player in the NRL??

Great afternoon at the footy.

Was great to see all the families there and all the costumes and such. It made for a different atmosphere and it was a nice change of pace from Friday and how moody those evenings can feel. Only complaint I have is the ground announcer forcing a lame 'Let's Go Broncos' chant down everyone's throat and the Broncos Cheer Squad going for a Mexican Wave. If it was still 26-0, I'd get it, but it was 26-16, the game was on the line and you want to make yourselves the focus? I'm not sure what the go is, but I really wish that area got more support. Would love to liven that section up.

Pretty patchy game of football. I thought Wests started really well but just let themselves down with an inability to complete their sets and their tackles. A couple of times they found themselves over the line only to be denied one way or another. You really can't afford to do that against a team like Brisbane and they learned their lesson the hard way. I didn't think it was Brisbane's best performance at any stage but they just have those flashes of magnificence. I don't think I've been this excited about the team since 2009.

Thought the second was a combination of Wests fixing up a few areas, while Brisbane were caught up in trying to entertain than to compete. I can forgive the first and third try. The first try simply wasn't a try, it was just another crap call we've had to cop while the third is what Wests are capable of. Disappointing given the kick-chase was a major issue but Tedesco is a freak of a player and it's not often you'll see that type of play. What stuck out to me is that when the game became a contest, the Broncos didn't get over-awed and they just kept at it before the game turned when Maranta picked up the loose ball.

It lead to one of the Broncos best sets of six of the half and while Hodges and Brooks undid that somewhat, I think it gave Brisbane the belief that if they could get their hands on the pill, they could break the Tigers.

Chris Lawrence looked to have scored a try only to be called back for a forward pass but Taylor felt the officials were fooled by the quality of the pass.

“I’ve talked to Tony Archer about that,” Taylor said post match.

“Luke Brooks was doing it earlier in the year for us where his pass is too good for the officials.

“It looks like he is passing it forward because he is moving backwards at the time but he doesn’t.

Fooled by the quality of the pass? Is Taylor the full quid? Seriously, the pass was forward, worry about your appalling coaching and not about fanciful bullshit

Have to agree with your sentiments IBM, my top 3 in that order also. Milf is looking better with each game he plays, and Blair really tried hes heart out today and put in the extra effort when needed. As for Lachie ,well, this kid has really gone ahead in leaps an bounds. I was paying close attention to him after he scored hes second try and there seemed to be a real look of confidence, even arrogance about him. I think this is what he has lacked over the past few seasons an it was almost as if deep down he didnt beleive he belonged. Now, you can sense a change in hes demeanour and he has a real swagger about him out there on the field. Fantastic to see an so proud of the lad.
Why do you persist with the idiotic deliberate misspelling ? It can't be because it's funny.

Apart from the lapse, I love what we are doing out there in attack and defence. I believe in this team more each week, I new we had potential but boy oh boy their pushing out the roof. I am loving the work of each and every one of our guys.

Oh....art you say, more arts soul I venture...
Put yourself in the place of a Vietnamese vegetable seller with a penchant for rugby league. A clash of cultures and flimsy grasp on the language. The question is why . I don't know the answer to that question. A wacky form of self expression of some kind I imagine.

Best game of the Broncos halves this season imo. Blair definitely stepping up in Moose's absence and overall strong game from everyone, outside of those 15 minutes starting with a clear forward pass for Seumanufagai's try.

No Broncos player played badly, and it's becoming a great habit!

I can't help but have the feeling that we are not quite there yet and we are going to get found out, I don't know what it is. The Rooosters are looking the goods at the moment. Hopefully we will keep improving, but I have concerns about Souths and Roosters coming home over the top of us.

What a game, my daughter who was dressed as Buck had a blast despite some drunken tigers douche bag trying to ruin it for her.

Where did you get the buck costume, and do they have adult sizes as well? I ask because a friend of mine wants one...

Glad to hear your daughter had fun.

The atmosphere of a Sunday arvo game is so much better than a Friday night.
