My man. Did I put you onto Ardbeg?
Wow. You have good taste.Sure did. One of my favourites these days. I know you don't go in for the expensive bottles but if you can find their Corryvreckan on sale (I paid $160), it's worth a try IMO. Very nice
I would say the main difference between this win and last season is that last season we won in attack, simply scoring more points than the opposition, but this win was a gritty defensive effort. We scored our points early and had to defend the lead the entire match after that.I want us to be confident heading into next week as I think we can improve and build on last night however, hopefully this team doesn’t get too ahead of themselves.
Yes it was a great win last night and they deserve to enjoy it, but it’s round 1. We all know what happened last year when the squad thought they were a top 4 side, we crashed out of the 8.
It’s a fine line and hopefully we have learnt lessons from the last few years. If we can back it up and improve over the Cows next week, then we will set ourselves up nicely.
Our defence was on last night, hopefully we can set that as our standard and if so, we will certainly win a lot more then we lose.
Defence was superb last night. As it was during that patch last year. Until it suddenly wasn't.I would say the main difference between this win and last season is that last season we won in attack, simply scoring more points than the opposition, but this win was a gritty defensive effort. They assumed he was concussed because he hadn’t done anything. Then they realised he hasn’t done anything for more than a year and let him back on.And the staggs hia

I'm a little concerned with our attack, with comments coming out of the club that it's fine, defence is the issue. That may be the case when the issue is not being flogged, but if we want to progress into and through the finals we might need a little more razzle dazzle than the current drills.
We're stocked with weapons in the backline, but we haven't been seeing them click too often.
Doesn`t want to coach apparently .Does anyone know if we ended up getting Stephen Kearney as an assistant again?
Capewell coming off last night proves
We need a back rower on the bench instead of keenan
Piakura would have slotted straight in and no need for 3 players to move positions
Gould was his usual dribbling self last night. “Look at the Broncos, they think they’ve got this”.
You lost me there. Couldn't even work it out with thisWalsh is back.
Last time Cowboys played Penrith (full strength) they lost 22-0, we beat Penrith by 1. Walsh is worthy 3 trys more than Cobbo at Fullback.
So lock it in. We will win 41-0.
Hopefully Walsh coming back helps our attack click into gear. I assume that's also what they've been practising with all pre-season. Also, we're probably saving our trick plays for the grand final.Defence was superb last night. As it was during that patch last year. Until it suddenly wasn't.

An issue. As in not "not an issue."Well I don't see attack as the issue

I agree with @Super Freak but it still makes me feel icky. It’s like your ex-GF telling your current partner how good you are in bed.He was praising the Broncos body language.
A few minutes after that he says the Broncos have been all over the Panthers and have them rattled. He says later on that Broncos have never looked like losing and that they have control of the game.
Walsh is an upgrade on cobbo at fullback at the moment for sure but I am a little worried about the goal line defence with him there instead of cobbo. Cobbo stopped 1 on the line that there is 0% chance Walsh stops purely bcos of his size. I hope we have thought of a way to hide him on the line, maybe even swap him and cobbo in defence on the line
You're right it probably does even out looking at it like that with walsh' better positioning and communication from all accounts.Cobbo also didn't stop one that I reckon Walsh would have, their first one.
