I had the commentary turned down (hate hadley) so i didn't get to hear the anti-Broncos diatribe.

We had that game won except for a couple of errors ..... not to mention the refs :rolleyes:

So many strange decisions tonight...

Knock on against us on their line when JT kicked it out of a players hand...
Yow Yeh penalised for contesting the ball
The 4-5 penalties in a row for really minor things that are let go more times than not.
Wallace forward pass that was out of the hand backwards
JT 'ok' pass that looked very dusty
Scott allowed to lie all over Sam which makes him lose the ball

etc. etc.

Oh and Wally & Fat should be banned from calling our games for good. Wally never went up, even when we scored that sensational try, but sure enough when the Cows get a try off a very dusty strip he acts like it's the best try he's ever seen.

Hadley just doesn't STFU.

It was a high quality game of football, especially this early in the season. Prouder of the boys this week than last week.

That final try to Bowen was just embarrassing. You don't even see that in U/10s!

refs rooted up our first half. Bowen rooted up our second half.
I am optimistic about Corey Norman however his decision making is going to need to improve. He did a silly chip kick in the 38th minute which very nearly resulted in another cowboys try before the break. He did the same thing against Canberra last year at the most inopportune time which gave canberra the sniff to mount that ridiculous comeback from 24-0 down. Hook must teach him the footy smarts. Would love to have locky out there to replace Alfie to assist in the decision making.
I thought Ben Hunt was excellent tonight. Hoffman, Yow Yeh, Hodgo and Wallace can also hold heads up high.
What was Beale doing contesting the very ordinary bomb from Ray Thompson? It was landing 30 metres out from the line. Very low percentage play. Might be time for Beale to play some QLD cup I think.
My guess is Hook will be filthy with the boys tonight.
Next week cannot come quick enough.

Disappointed with the loss obviously. We had that won, and got a lucky break when Sims dropped the ball.

Beale - should've just let the man catch the ball and smash him. Hodgo was giving it to Beale deluxe after Bowen scored.

Parker was awful. Worst performance seen from him for a long time. But he will bounce back.

There were still good signs though IMO. Norman is copping it a bit here but I thought he played quite well. Looked dangerous stepping off the left foot and his awareness in the Te'o try was outstanding.

McCullough though is back to going for the glory plays that never come off, first half especially. To his credit he was good when he came back on in the second half.

Reed's set up of Beale's try was outstanding.

Yeh it's disappointing to lose but we put ourselves in a position to win, against what will be a top 8 side this year (and possibly top 4). So there are positives out of the match, just need to learn how to take the game by the balls when we have it won.

There is no doubt that he will improve with more experience but he is in first grade so there are no excuses. He has a job to do.
