POST GAME Round 2 - Broncos vs Cowboys

I think we should go with a utility on the bench next game.

Benji's experience would have been valuable last night. I think if he was playing, we win.

But I'm not sure who we should drop to fit him in.

TPJ and Ese'ese are a must have. They made some very good runs when they came on, Ese'ese included.

Glenn and Arrow both had their good moments. Glenn made some strong runs in the middle, poked his head through a couple of times and made some good metres.

Out of Arrow and Glenn, I liked what I saw from Glenn more and I think Arrow should be the one to go.

I don't blame Milford for that. It doesn't look like the team practices for it at all, as there was absolutely no structure in place for it, and it was all just telegraphed.
That made the Cows' job easy, especially because they knew the refs wouldn't punish them for standing offside.

Yeah, I know we had that try off a forward pass, but that can't justify the amount of shit the Cows got away with, from a knock on try, to what should've been a sin bin on Oates, passing through half their defensive sets standing clearly offside.

I am stuck between admiring Wayne's view on discipline and adhering to the rules of the game, and the fact that it's clearly giving an advantage to the opposition, whom have no qualms to cheat where they can, because of their coaches questionable ethics.
But, if you insist on maintaining your ethics, you have to fucking demand the same from the refs, and Wayne is a mute on press conferences when it comes to that...

Imagine the crying from Green and Thurston about that forwards pass if we had won the game? It wouldn't need a broadcast to be heard in fucking Townsville!

I must have totally missed this, what happened that should have been a sin bin on Oates?

Having both of our possible utilities sidelined has allowed Bennett to run more forwards and put the young forwards to the test hasn't it... because you'd think 1 of them wouldn't have got a crack this early in the season if we had the option to play a utility. You're right Arrow will drop off leaving Glenn with some experience off the bench.

Essesse and TPJ were great. They are nailing down there bench spots for certain. I just don't like both Arrow and Glen on the bench. Not sure what Arrow offers. At least Glen can run some lines and is utility. Not sold on Arrow at all.
The youngsters need to address their goal line defence. Should have easily accounted for Morgan after glen missed the tackle , but over played their hand.

All comes with experience.

Like he did last week and like he did last year in the same game??

I don't think they are saying he never steps up in the clutch moments. I get what Unbreakable is saying. It is very much what I was saying for most of last year. We will have difficulty winning another premiership until our halves consistently step up at those match defining moments to win us the game. Thurston consistently does it and consistently gets his team home (not always or every time, but more often than not). Our halves occasionally do it, but more often or not fail at those clutch moments. That is the difference between the two sides at the moment.

And it could be as simple as one team having one of the best halves of all time nearing the end of his career with all of his experience and guile and not much drop off in physical skills versus us with a very talented young guy who is still learning the position and how to handle those pressure moments.

Interesting to hear in the news tonight that even JT would like to see these games go down as draws and the points shared between both teams. I agree for so many reasons - not just because the Broncos suck in ET. Mostly, I just like the traditional aspect of it.
