Round 2 - Raiders vs Broncos - Post Match Discussion

I'm not really understanding why Copley was preferred as the replacement over a forward when we have backrowers who can and have played centre.

He wasn't, Griffin wanted Frei but he pulled up with an injury in the Toyota Cup game. The other players in the pack aren't up to first grade standard so they went with Copley with the idea that Reed can go into the backrow just in case.

It worked out because Gagai suffered some sort of injury mid-way through the game.

Ah, very well, thanks for clearing that up.

It was a joke, don't take it so personally.

There's some very uptight people on BHQ at the moment.

I should have been more subtle.

As an NRL winger Gagai should swallow everything that comes his way.

So the opposition doesn't count? [eusa_eh
Curious about who you think would've done better against Ferguson under the same conditions last night? eusa_think

Not when the joke is just plain shieet.
Anyways.. Gagai had one of those off nights. The back 3 from both side dropped at least one, except Ferguson. And don't forget Vidot and Wallace both dropped the ball off the kickoff as well. Wet conditions etc...

Gagai can catch and well too.
Just watch his trial match against the Storms.
Cronk sent 3 bombs his ways within the first 7 mins, didn't drop one.

Doesn't he remind you of Hodges at 6.55?
That run against the Bulldogs when Hodges played fullback and Berrigan scored?

What about Aaron Whitchurch? Would've liked him to get a gig.

He's only just moved to the backrow and ideally would still be a three quater/wing at NRL level.

Never the less, Copley is ahead of him.

Wow, great defence by our boys! I was having mini heart attacks in that first half. I'm annoyed with the reports that Canberra "didn't turn up" because they were certainly the better team for the first half, and the Broncos just frustrated them out of the game!

Hunt has to drop off the bench. When he was on the field we got no-where. Forget Macca's show and go, wtf is with Ben Hunt's dummy? [eusa_doh My grandma wouldn't fall for that rot.

I thought Corey, McGuire, Glenn, Gillett & Thaiday all went great guns in defence and won us the game. & Macca got us going forward, his dummy half runs were very good.

I think people are being too quick to stick it up his backside. He's just a kid.

Coxy, I think you're giving the young fellow a bum rap.
He can really find an opening.

This thread has gone to sh!t...

I dunno. His ball grip simply isn't firm enough.
