PRE-GAME Round 2 - Titans vs Broncos

Him and tino were neck and neck for majority of the game , had 3 or 4 LB's and over 20 tackles . His post contact was up there to , if that's his bad game then I Really hope he doesn't have a good one next week.

He wasn’t good at all. Made one half break and dropped the ball. That was it.

All I remember was Fifita running at nikorima a lot and kodi handling him on every hit up. Smashed him a few times too

if we get lucky and Asiata and Coates are fit, I’m happy with the round 1 team except flegler starts at prop and Kennedy comes on the bench.

I’d give cardigan a lot less minutes and get Asiata on after 20 minutes.
If Asiata and Coates are out we may as well forfeit.

I was going to like this post and then saw the last sentence. I totally disagree. Those two will be big losses but we can cover Coates decently enough with Copley or Arthars. Asiata is more difficult to replace for sure but the Titans were NOT impressive this round, we looked heaps better.

Yeah Asiata is the bigger issue for sure. Looking very light in forwards.

Got to say I was genuinely surprised at Asiatas skills, I can totally see why the Cowboys had him playing 6 last year because he is a genuine Half with his ball playing skills, the 3rd playmaker 13 role is so ideal for him but we have no other player that can cover that role, he is probably going to be our most important player going forward.

Absolute genius signing.

Maybe Gamble could be injury cover for him as he is a Big half as well but I really like this 3rd Playmaker role with this rule set it works well.

Gamble is a big fella for a half and one would hope he could fill that role, also the hooker "Hethrington"? From the trial seemed to have the body for it.

Development contract ... can't play yet

I think Gamble is a good shout and I think he should seriously contemplate bulking up and making a transition to the forwards ala Ryan Matterson.

It would be tough for him to make a call like that without some assurance from the club and a little bit of security contract wise, as it could take a couple years to transition properly, but it could make him a valuable commodity in the current NRL.

Wade Graham looked done as a footballer until sharks turned him into a ball playing second rower, and he became a revelation.

Gamble is 6'2" and 95kg so he'd need to put on some weight, but if his tackle technique is good enough and he has the commitment/attitude to defend in the middle then he could become a very handy player

Sounds like it would be a bit of a....risk/lottery/wager/uncertain outcome on his behalf.
