Yep, this.Just win ffs
I thought Offa looked alright, certainly better than last year. Agreed on the other two though, Macca’s service is SO slow you might as well carry an extra front rower and get them to shovel it out.All our ex-pats have been average at best in their latest game: Offa, Bird, Macca. Early days yet, but looks like we sold them lemons.
I don’t mind having Carrigan grind out the opening exchanges and bringing Asiata on fresh. What that ideally looks like it terms of rotation and minutes I’m not sure.If Asiata is fit, i'd be starting him at lock (good chance anyway since Lodge is out, Kevvie could move Carrigan to prop).
When Lodge is back, I'd keep Carrigan in the prop rotation fighting with Lodge for that starting spot ... allowing Asiata to remain at lock.
Asiata will be in the running for signing of the year IMO ... and not only because of his performances, but because we likely didn't have to pay through the nose to get him
I'd be pretty stunned if Walters punted Croft inside the first month. Just doesn't seem like something he would do and that's probably fair on Croft too.Ryan Girdler on Triple M says it's time to drop Croft and bring back Dearden. He says now that Anthony Milford is running the ball more Tommy is better at "marshaling the team down field, perhaps towards a corner kick which will enable a flighty Broncos team to control the game."
Me, I reckon that would be a really cunty thing to do to Croft. It would break him. Kevvie should leave him there either until he's a confirmed failure (5 games minimum), injury preempts it (most likely scenario), or Dearden comes off the bench (doubtful). Right now, Dearden is motivated to work his way back into the team and Croft knows the coach has faith in him. Much better for morale.
That said, I think everyone expects Tom to own the No.7 by the end of the season. Or be leaving. Take your pick.
Absolutely absurd comment from Girdler, but does anyone take him seriously anyway.Ryan Girdler on Triple M says it's time to drop Croft and bring back Dearden.
