PRE-GAME Round 2 - Titans vs Broncos

I heard on one of the news channels tonight that Flegler was under an injury cloud, anyone know if it's true?

The Titans aren't half as good as everyone has hyped them up to be this year. They were coming almost dead last all last season before they went on a run to end the year when there was no pressure, they were already out of finals contention and they were playing inconsequential games, I think they come back down to earth this year - Fogarty and Taylor aren't good halves and there's only so much that a couple of young second rowers can help.

Despite some awful refereeing and horror luck with injuries, we were still in the game against Parra last night right up until the end. Had Milf or Croft kept their head and taken control in the middle of the second half I think we win that even with everything going against us. Having said that, we owed a lot of our 16 point halftime lead to Parra being woeful.

The injuries are the biggest worry... We might not have the cattle to get over the line, but based on last night I think we'll show some heart and give it a real crack. The Titans are very beatable. I hope we take it to them.
Yes, wrong. They were in contention to make the finals until late in the season. They still could have qualified in round 15. I do agree with you about the teams they did beat and they weren't the heavyweights of the comp. That said they narrowly lost to Penrith, 8 points and the Roosters 6 points in successive weeks and that pair of losses was preceded by a spanking at the hands of Melbourne. However, those narrow defeats were something of a turning point, unlike us against top teams they were in the game right up until the death.

I agree they're beatable and we're desperate for a win. I think they'll (the Broncos) give it a red hot go and we might be lucky for once.

Who thought that? The club and players are almost entirely responsible and most bad luck was met with 0 resilience

Yeah bad phrasing. I think most fans regard last year as an outlier and not actually representative of the quality of the team. If we avoid the huge injury toll and still finish close to the spoon then that perspective would change.

This is the superstar team that just got flogged by Nathan Brown's possible wooden spoon warriors?

The team who have half their salary cap tied up in 2 second rowers who had absolutely no impact on the game?

The team relying on a spine consisting of the woeful Mitch Rein, the 'potential' of Ash Taylor, career nobody Jamal Fogarty and AJ Brimson who when he isn't injured has had 10 good games his whole career (all in the back half of last year)?

Last year the Titans way outperformed... and they still missed the finals. If there's one team in the comp I'm not scared of... its little brother Titans.

Your points are all valid, but I'm honestly loathed to bag out anybody else's spine when I look at our own. We have the worst performing spine in the competition and I don't even think it's a closely run thing with the other 15 clubs.

St George are pretty bad... funnily enough 3/4 are ex Broncos.
