Patty will want to play and he should play.

There's no need to rest him when we another bye coming up.

This is a pretty big game given our run into the finals.

I'd say for a top 4 spot we need 16-17 wins so at least 4 more out of the final 7 games.

Run home:
20 Dogs - Belmore
21 Souths - Sunny Coast
22 Rorters - Gabba
23 Cows - Away
24 Parra - Gabba
25  Bye
26 Raiders - Away and night game... will probs be -1 degrees
27 Storm - Suncorp

Looking at that the big games we need to win for me are basically:
- Dogs (they've been copping it in the media, but also Reynolds retirement and at Belmore)
- Souths on the coast, but they're getting Latrell back and probably a few more before then... also coming off a bye
- Rorters: Have looked out of sorts all year and this will be at home... should be a good chance
- Parra: another game at home, but they're a bogey team and they'll be neck and neck with Cows for the top 8 spot

Cows away looks tough at the moment... they'll go up a gear playing us up there and looking for a top 8 spot

Raiders away in the cold and middle of winter... can just see us getting ambushed. We dont seem to play well down there

Storm at home is basically just a fait accompli... basically just write it off.

All we have to do is turn up with the right attitude.

If we do, we win. They had a lot go their way against Souths and still almost lost despite Souths missing 7 of their starting 13.

After Walsh’s incident & 3 of our other starting players on the sidelines nursing injuries, Kev’s plan to rest up Patty is the right one. Pattys been busting his ass up all season. No point burning him out either by playing him every game &/ longer minutes. Everyone needs to rest up & Patty is no exception.

I liked how the likes of Palasia, Jensen, Kobe & Marty stepped up in our last game. I want Willison to have a blinder of a game & share the workload with the other front row troops.

My other main issue is, want Smoothy to regain his game awareness and not look lost 3 weeks in a row. Need a steep improvement in him.

No Paix again. He and Kevie must of had some kind of blow up if he still can't get a start after Smoothy played so badly last game.

Paix has a groin injury .
According to @1910 .

Do we seriously not have a better option then Tyson Smoothy?

You are very quick to judge .
1 ordinary game and you sack him ? Still a better tackler than Paix ...

Oatesy's 200th game this week.

It's not like Broncos don't have something to play for.
Don’t most milestone games tend to end in disappointment? No idea on the numbers, but sure seems that way.

Its actually a critical game. Kicks off a run home from the finals. We can only afford to drop 1 game here on in. Dropping 2+ games could see a drop out of the top 4 be season end.

You do realise that a lot of the top 8 play each other in the final 7 rounds. Another 3 wins from us plus the bye should wrap up comfortably a top 4 spot.

If so, bring in Mariner, he needs some opportunities.

We also have a bye coming up so we can afford to play him without worrying about him burning out.
Have to also be careful we don't injure him (playing so many games back to back).
