Honestly can't see us making the 8. We will lose to the Rooters Dogs and Storm the way we are going. No intensity;looked as if we didn't care even if a top 4 spot was up for grabs. Shows how much we miss Gillett and Reed and Glenn playing out of position. Should of put Opacic in centre and Glenn in his usual position.
Been saying it for too long. We lack creativity in attack. No second phase even when we have two instinct players in hunt/milf and we don't give the Jets enough early ball. It's just the same milf fakes switches and passes out in front. Where's the offloads?! I read we went into our slump once Kevin left to coach QLD. Can we have him back now please? Need more options.
And just get rid of Maranta, give Seve a run. Anyone please.
We gave easy metres all last year too cause our goal line defense was rock solid. Now it's not working and we are leaking so much points. More worse to watch than the Storm game.
We will look better once Kahu Gillo Reed Kodi are back on field, but it could be too late.

I'm not so sure... Everyone remembers 2006, and how we came out of the s word that would not be spoken, We seem to forget it was not spoken because it was the norm from 2001 up to then, and also a couple of times after 2006. I don't know any more,,,, maybe the old master has just become old and the nuances of the modern game have passed him, To listen to the post match stuff last night was painful... stating the obvious that penrith ran harder and defended well is fucking obvious.... why can't we do that though.

Look at where the Panthers scored the majority of their tries.

Look at who was unavailable and how it affected the side.

Going into this season, we knew that depth was going to be an issue, but nobody could have expected it to be as bad as what it has been.

I see your thinking pete, but Penrith attacked our left edge constantly, but the only try through the milf glenn/reid corridor was Hardackers. That shit happens, it pisses me off when they score 2 tries through the middle of our ruck and a runaway that no fucker chases. We need to dominate in defence then all that shit happening on the edges with players sliding and back peddling and whatever other shit supposedly pretending to be a defensive line goes away.

I have respect for Maguires efforts but I have always had my doubts classifying him as a top line front rower. He simply does not have the size. The same could be said about Blair. We seem to have a pack of predicable workhorses. We really need at least two forwards who can dominate. But I guess they are hard to find .

I also hate seeing forwards chucked in the back line to be makeshift centres like Glenn. Does it ever work?

Attitude is vital vital , but looks to me that we just don't have the cattle.

I agree, posted somewhere else that hes a number 2... he's Webkes petero, Lazarus' Gee, and for the oldies Dowlings Niebling. We need a real leader that runs hard, tackles hard, scares *****, and every forward wants to follow...... just don't know who or where he is.

From what i know, Tom wasnt ready last night which is why i cant understand why we even put him on the bench.

The worrying thing for me is that we look like Souths do. The players just dont look happy and i have thought it for most of this season. Even when we were winning, we werent great, but we had Milf on fire. We dont have that anymore.

Sorry pete, but inside Blair is the middle.... 2 tries there..... I don't quite follow your line on the Blake try... he ran 100 and no fucker chased him. Even the Fisher --Harris try was at Milf, but think Blair and Maguire were in there as well. Structure and effort is just generally shit but to imply this is just a left edge problem is off the money.

Actually, I thought WB was okay in the presser. He was truthful in a response to a question similar to your last when he said he didn't know why. The teams down on confidence and playing poorly but I think that it's simply a combination effect rather than one thing. There are a few egos inflated, some disharmony, quite a few injuries, a lightweight pack with too few senior hardheaded professionals,two halves with bog average tackling skills, disruption from state of origin, heavy expectation after last year and the expected benefits of a reduced interchange have not emerged.

It can be turned around to a large degree and I expect it will . Very soon there will come a point where the team will realise that unless they unite, they will not be playing finals football and the associated glamour will be absent. I can see them back on track and what's famous about our club will be what pulls them together...it will be the Broncos pride. I don't say we will make the gf but the team will get better, it's coming.

Would you prefer Melbourne or the sharks winning? Because I don't think any other side is a chance this season. I actually might actually be able to stomach Melbourne winning, just because it will confirm how horrible the rule changes have been in terms of wrestling getting worse.

firstly, i think a few, actually quite a lot of the lads need to stop worrying and comparing how much money and cash they can grab outside of footy. its a real #@#/ measuring contest at the moment on who is earning what for each gig they do and a cair bit of he got more than i did for a 3rd party speaking role and so on.. thats a bit of some of the rubbish going on. the rock stars are also carrying on about their "brand" since when did they vecome bigger than the club!!! they arent frigging caltex or bp.

secondly, i hate channel 9 and didnt go to the game but i caught locky and wallys comments in the game wrap up. They nailed it big time, locky mentioned that the penrith forwards have a mix of size, footwork and footy skill and he said that is what the modern day forward requires, wally also said similar. take a look at our pack... our pack and especially the bench kids (outside of pangai)have none of that.

100% agree mate. Can't believe Ofahengaue got the bench spot over Ese'ese. I think it is time to blood Fai and have Ese'ese in the team full-time so he can develop into the player we know he can be.

YES to the Sharks because they are the best performing team and after fifty years of trying deserve reward for effort.

Yep, definitely more palatable than Cows winning. Team of whingers coached by a whinger that thinks everything that happens against them comes by design, not just the way footy goes. The fact they're our biggest rival makes it even easier to hate them.
Sharks are playing entertaining footy, and never really been a storm fan but I think even their style of footy has evolved and they're so much more than wrestle and suffocate you out of game kind of team these days. That's just me though,
