PRE-GAME Round 20 - Broncos vs Sharks

Boyd has very very little experience in the halves and even when he did play there, he wasn't exactly good which is just going to weaken the side.

Blooding a rookie would be the better option.

So apparently Kodi's picked up a groin injury at training and is in doubt... what's plan B?
Grahams out but Lewis is in.
Nah it was only a twinge from falling over the advertising board after his second try. He'll be right.

Good to see Bennett sticking with Isaako at fullback and Boyd at centre.

Jesse Ramien has been in good form and I have a feeling he would have had a field day with Kahu defending at centre.

Personally, i wouldn't mind Tagataese playing instead of Fifita in this one.

Having an extra experienced forward out there would be greatly beneficial against the older, grubbier Sharks forwards.

That Ramien is an absolute gun centre. Reminds me of a young Tunza. Would take him in a heartbeat over Bird if we're talking about playing centre.

Tallis is a dumb ass ...

just heard him on the news, talking about Boyds move to center (among other things) and he said "I would have moved him a lot earlier as needs to be closer to the ball"

had that dumb ass ever even watched a game of rugby league, because a fullback gets the ball much more than a center does

Round 19 at Centre - 13 possessions
Round 18 at Fullback - 30 possessions

Tallis lol

Edit: I think the most likely scenario is that you misheard and he was talking about the Isaako move, and getting him closer to the ball, but I'm on board with Tallis hate either way, even if it's unwarranted.

he very well could have been talking about moving Isaako, but his name was never mentioned, just Boyd's which is why i assumed when he said "i would have moved "him" earlier" he was talking about Boyd

Does it really matter in the end? because if Bennett made the decision to move Boyd into the centres earlier in the season would anyone truly be shocked to see Gordy crying foul about the knee jerk reaction from Bennett and how he should have more faith in his fullback?

That would mean Sims or Staggs playing on the edge for a decent chunk as TPJ's hamstrings wouldn't be ready for 80 minutes yet.

Nah, Taggers is just shit. He hits hard, and has been around for a while, but just isn’t very good and hasn’t had a good game for us yet, albeit in limited opportunities.

I get your thinking, but these guys need to play these games, especially if we make a deep run.

Oh no, you're going to trigger someone with this post...

4th is better.

If we lose, we get a second chance. If we win, we go straight to the prelim final and we get a home final either way.

My heart says - we must be in Top-4 but the ladder says (most definitely) it will be Freaking Storm cheaters who will finish at top. If that's the case & we ended up @4, we again have to play them in Melbourne. This is nightmare scenario for mine. I wouldn't cherish more than us beating them cheaters at their ground but, I prefer to avoid them totally.

I would rather hope we finish @ 3 and beat whoever ends up @ 2 and get a Home Preliminary Final.

We need a bit luck to go our way too. Speaking of luck - it's Grant Atkins the main referee for Thursday's game. I don't want to ignite the debate on refereeing but this guy is total diabolical to us. Better than moran B.Cummins towards us I suppose.

If we beat the Sharks by 21pts or more we jump them on the ladder and are in 5th temporarily depending on the Panthers result.

Panthers play Manly though, so it probably won't be for long.

Broncos are going to carve the motherfuckers up, no two ways about it. Another big score coming, boys.
