looks like its confirmed that norman has been dropped. media all over it now.

broncos site confirms hala having shoulder surgery and is gone for season. : (

If these supposed changes are happening, then that's good and all, and I'm pleased, but it's really a case of too little, too late, isn't it?

It's just like the Broncos on the field - we don't start throwing the ball around, taking some risks and having a go until the match is basically out of reach.

i agree should of happened a few weeks ago. but i'm just going to remain happy that SOMETHING is happening.

Hala is just unlucky with injuries. Shoulder injury doesn't mean he can't go jogging or something, and get fitter.
I don't think it's a big blow right now - he pretty much burnt himself out after 5 matches. Dodds and Tasi are better right now IMO.

Another Tuesday, another count down until another disappointing team list named....

Time to be brave Hook.

By the way I think we will no doubt see a cracking game with both teams believing they are playing for their seasons.

At least the Broncos will show up, even if Thurston is always going to be the difference between these two teams.

chris garry has posted that hunt will be the halfback this week with wallace playing hooker off the bench.

My relentless abuse towards Peter Wallace is paying off.......finally the right people are starting to take notice. :thumbup1:

I agree with you totally - it is too little, too late - but it's better than the alternative, which is to persist with the same dopey side for the remainder of the year, and then start afresh next year with Hunt potentially at halfback, still a largely unknown quantity, and probably a new fullback. It could just end up being this year all over again. I'd rather they see what they have, even if it means ending this year with straight losses. It's still experience for Hunt, and if he can't cope with it at this stage of his career he's probably not the long-term solution.

^ provided Ben Hunt isn't told to go out and save the Broncos season every week. if he is told just to play his natural game, not worry about where we are on the table and to back himself, that could work.

New half and new fullback in the bag next year?

I'm not too disappointed at all with the supposed changes. The year may look like it's over, but by dropping Norman we have guys playing that are going to be here next year. Say to them, it's in your hands now, you have a chance to show what you can do for us. You get us to the finals and turn around our season, even if we don't go far in the finals at least we'll have built some confidence for next season.

"Jordan Kahu is also set to miss a few weeks with a fractured hand."

Called it when I was watching the game last week, knew he re-broke by the way he was grimacing every time he touched the ball.

Dropping Wallace to the bench though?
