I wouldn't consider Gillette combo as strong (he does run good lines off prince I guess)

Correction. He ran a good line off Prince ... can't remember when though. Sorry, have our halves been passing to edge forwards? Damn, I must watch the right game next time. I need a good surprise.

Not that I'm suggesting he should be selected but what ever happened to Kemp's career? I didn't follow him very closely before he fell off the earth but wasn't he our rookie of the year at one point? I vaguely remember him being touted the fasted winger in league or some such?

Judging both teams on form I'm predicting a 0-0 Golden Point draw

Based on Origin form: Thurston, Scott, and Tate, home game and what's at stake, I reckon 20 - 0 but then, you never know. Gillett might run another good line off Prince, Hoffman might pass the ball on a 2nd man play and Hunt might throw a second, nice short pass.

With the Broncos, who knows?

also, gillett and prince might not miss 20 tackles between them, the refs might continue to ignore all the forward passes our playmakers throw under pressure but haven't been pulled up for in the last 2 seasons. who knows?

First off, not sure that so many changes are good.

As awesome as it is to see Norman dropped, taking Hoffman away from the wing, where he has been performing admirably, to put a U20's backrower there, doesn't strike me as ideal. Even less when you think about Hoffman's ball playing skills and support play... If we're going for someone who is relatively safe under the high ball and runs it back with gusto, might as well put Maranta there, with the added value he won't be on the wing!

2 backrowers on the left edge against Tate and Graham? Yeah, that's not going to go wrong!

Hunt to halfback without any routine in the position of late, is setting him up for a gigantic fail.
I hope he just plays his natural game, trusts his instincts and doesn't succumb to the stress of our season being on the line. I also hope that once this decision has been taken, we give him the chance to prove whether he's capable to fill the role or should be cast aside, by letting him finish the season there.

Wallace to the bench... I can live with that, especially if he takes over the hooker position after the first 20 mins, leaving the initial defensive barrage to Macca.

Thaiday in the second row, awesome, as long as he plays next to Prince and Hodgo despite the no. 11!

Gillett on the left fringe, me likey! Hopefully Hunt will feed him good ball.

All in all, I'm not expecting miracles, especially when you look at the backline, and I can't wait until we get Kahu and Reed back!

Oates at wing is just weird. He's a bloody back-rower / centre. Glenn should have the mobility to keep Tate covered, but if he gets a half chance I can see him putting away his winger with Oates looking stranded.

So I'll ask the same question. Kemp? Is he injured or did Hook see his topless douche photos and mark him as never-again.

Good to see some changes. As others have pointed out it's probably too little, too late. Absolutely stoked that Maranta gets another run. He cops a lot of flak, but he's pretty good under the high ball and runs the ball back hard. Would've preferred him at fullback, but he has a chance to redeem himself on the wing on Friday. Go Broncos!!!

Doesn't Hodges mark up against Tate?

Nope, Tate is right centre, so he faces our left centre.

That's what I thought. So Glenn is on Linnett, Hodges on Tate, but then I read somewhere that Linnett said he was looking forward to marking Hodges

Glenn is our left centre, therefore he is on Tate and Hodges is on Linnett.
