Why we didn't zero in on DCE when he was having talks with Manly early in the year .....too late.

DCE never had any intention of leaving Manly (besides he was still under contract for next year anyway meaning Manly would have had to release him... fat chance)

To lure Thurston away from the Cowboys your going to need to find an available million

Yep Souths do this heaps with Merritt coming in field and taking kick returns and also by coming in during sets to sniff out short kicks and inside balls it also gives GI a rest. Certain teams it certainly has its merits and we would be one of them especially with Hoffman's penchant for getting himself hurt.

I'm one of the biggest Ben Hunt fans on this forum, but I've lost a lot of confidence in whether he'd provide anything much more than Norman, and definitely no more than Wallace. but he does have potential.

Ben Hunt, Wallace and Norman are the future for the Broncos. As soon as Broncos fans understand we have been unbelivably blessed with once in a generation players (Alf and Lockyer) at halves, then you might be able to put things in perspective

Capewell. Very interesting. Refer to the Yow Yeh highlight reel against the Titans last year for my reservations about a 5 foot nothing fullback.

Makes sense (although I contradict myself) for Hook to pick and stick with the halves.

Very nervous about how that rookie back three will go under a few highballs/if there are any communication breakdowns.
