Yeah, looks like Hayne is no chance.

Willie Tonga is also out. Unsure if that's a good or bad thing for us though. His form has been woeful.

Yeah Tonga is neither here nor there but Hayne's absense would be a big deal .. still think the Eels are a real danger in this game with the chance to impress Rick on a monday night game at Suncorp Stadium

It's one of those games we'd typically lose in 01-06.

Bugger all this doom and gloom... I have no idea why, but I reckon we're going to obliterate the Eels!

can't see it but I hope you're right because imo this could be that "crossroads" game for the broncos' season .. If they lose I think it'll be terminal for group's confidence, especially given that they're a young team.

if the switch suddenly flips and the halves get their zing back and the team wins by 20+ then suddenly everyone starts to believe again .. afterall, it's basically all between the ears for these guys .. just look at the bulldogs.

^ funny isn't it that the whole reason for Hadley commentating this season is Ch9 punishing Andrew Voss for a couple of indiscretions last year ... But it seems the ones who're really copping the punishment are the viewers ..

If I was bidding on TV rights I would be spearheading my bid with poaching Vossy and Matty Johns.

He pissed of the wrong people in the old boys club at Channel 9 and has paid the price. Ray Warren can't go on forever and Ray Hadley only has a job at Channel 9 because he only commentates Qld games that none of the NSWRL or NSW based Channel 9 execs watch.

We should win comfortably, form slump or otherwise. Come on, the Eels (especially sans Hayne)?

The Eels are the equivalent of a 4AM dance floor drunk fat chick that the Broncos oh so desparately need. It won't be pretty, and won't be memorable but will serve a very important purpose.

Oscar Wilde could not have said that better! perfect!!!!

Interesting. Luke Capewell has been picked at fullback.
Whitchurch and Maranta on the wings.
Beale and Glenn the centres.

Full team:
1. Capewell
2. Whitchurch
3. Beale
4. Glenn
5. Maranta
6. Norman
7. Wallace
8. Civoniceva
9. McCullough
10. Hannant
11. Gillett
12. Thaiday
13. Parker

14. Hunt
15. McGuire
16. Dodds
17. Lui

how has Capewell been playing for Redcliffe? Te'o hasn't been named if he gets his charge downgraded i wonder where he will play...

it is also interesting to see McGuire benched and Hannant regaining his starting spot... i still hope McGuire plays 60+ minutes, maybe Hook thinks he needs a bit of a rest.

Okay, didn't expect that one...
Wonder how Capewell will go in defense, as I'm sure he can be better in attack than Hoffy has been of late. May just be the spark we need!

I actually like the look of this backline, although I am a bit worried about their defense, having played no games together.
Here's hoping they all have a blinder!

I completely ruled him out as outside back cover given he's been playing at 7 in the QCup (correct me if I'm wrong). Pending Parker and Teo there could still be quite a few re-shuffles to that team.

enormous game needed from our forwards next monday ...

Eels Team

Jake Mullaney, Luke Burt, Ryan Morgan, Cheyse Blair, Ken Sio, Ben Roberts, Chris Sandow, Tim Mannah, Nathan Smith, Fuifui Moimoi, Nathan Hindmarsh, Ben Smith, Reni Maitua. Interchange: Joseph Paulo, Taulima Tautai, Justin Poore, Matthew Ryan, Mitchell Allgood

Capewell played some fullback for the Titans last year I believe. Wasn't too bad. Hopefully Parker can play and Te'o gets his charge downgraded.

well i didnt see that happening (capewell). but i am excited to see how we go.

i think i look forward to a game more if we have lost the week before.
