That's the ridiculous part of that rule.
If they kicked it towards the sideline and it came off a Bulldogs player but they didn't play at it, it's Bulldogs ball.
But somehow despite the Bulldogs not playing at the ball there when it was batted back into the in-goal and touched a Bulldogs player and went out, it's Tigers ball..
