I love what Holbrook is doing with Fifita as far as persisting with him off the bench.. a lot of weaker coaches would’ve quickly rewarded Fifita with his starting spot back after a couple of bulldozing tries.. Making Fifita really work for it is a great move.

I feel like it is a reasonable way to use the second rowers anyway.

I dont necessarily think that it is punishing Fifita just looking to utilise him for 60min or so a game instead of 80. You can tell that it isn't a punishment as Fifita is given the 12 jersey every week.

When TC comes back I'd hope we look to do something similar except it would be Glenn getting subbed for say Riki.

We could even go Riki 20min, TC comes on to play 60mins... Riki comes back on at say the 50min mark for Glenn... good way to phase Glenn out of the side without overloading our young second rowers

Sexton looks pretty comfortable at NRL level, if they're not resigning Taylor for next year they should give him a run with Fogarty when he's fit

If he finishes this year strongly, They’re nuts if they don’t give him first dibs at a 6 or 7 jersey next season..

Yeah but Fifita would be burning to get back in the run-on team .. He’s there on massive money and it wouldn’t be comfortable for him being a reserve - which is exactly why it’s a great move from the coach imo..

Mind you, in 2021 it’s probably the sort of thing that has more chance of getting you fired as a coach

Tom dearden is Moses Mbye 2 I reckon. more natural talent then someone like Croft, but lacking the class to be a starting half. Tries hard and always around the ball So makes things happen from time to time.

Think you’re over estimating the skills of some clubs. You really find it hard to believe that they didn’t care about a ISC player? I don’t. They all missed Hynes too for 90 games.

Grant wasn’t even moved into the top 30 until 2019 and still no one was too worried. His family are also best mates with Bunn. Lots of links and reasons why they’d be saying go to the Storm and learn.

Tigers had to match his deal to get him, they deemed it fair for a guy that had played two games.

Storm are just so far ahead of the other clubs spotting and developing players that they could pick a player out the girls under 14s and turn them into an immortal. Unless of course.....

Imagine paying $1.35 million a year for a 2nd rower playing 60 mins off the bench and you have to find ways to motivate him hahaha this is going even worse then I predicted and at the moment he is injury free, wait for the mess they have after an injury! Does anyone truly think he will be committed to his rehab with the attitude he currently has...

Stick him in the middle for 80 minutes and watch him slowly roll over teams as his relentless battering wares the opponent down. That’s the one part of the cowboys that doesn’t require any coaching. How do you get it wrong.
