Probably why Fergo is moving on and Arthurs keeps shuffling things around to find room for Waqa

Yep, he's on a good contract i think. I can see Parra being kept scoreless for a second week here.

I wonder how long parra can keep going with Arthur as coach before they need to try something different.
I don’t think he is necessarily a bad coach or has dramas at the club but parra have really flatlined a few years in a row and don’t really fire a shot when the other top 4/6 teams step up a gear.
IMO they either have to move on from Arthur or lose 3 or 4 of Gutho/D Brown/Blake/Paulo/Matterson/Lane and inject some new faces into a stale squad.
Their backline depth of Dumpster and Jakob Arthur makes our squad look like the Storm.

i think you're right in a way, but i also think it has a lot to do with Moses and his sideways play, we saw him in origin 3 so we know its not just the para team the problem, but he just goes side to side and hopes his centre or winger can do something. Yes he's got a good kicking game but i dont think he's all that great like the media says he is.

I think Paulo will leave, just hasn't been able to recapture what he was doing earlier in the year... could be a guy that heads to ESL and kills it. I think he's still up there as a top prop, but for whatever reason the minutes have dropped away
I think they should be trying to keep Gutho he's the captain and a focal point of their attack... and as we know fullbacks aren't necessarily in abundance at the moment.
I think Moses just re-signed and Brown re-signed last year. Mahoney might be hard to keep, but he along with Gutho were the standout players in that spine early in the year.
Lane will go, Blake will be let go the second anyone comes in with a bid to take him.
Matterson looks a little bit like a dime a dozen type of second rower at the moment... with how Vlando ball currently is I think center and second row are your strike positions across the field.
They're the ones that get a bit of room or the second row gets to be 1v1 on the half... they find the offloads and the ones that are athletic and physical can make a difference to the attack.
Matterson is good but he seems to be a line running second rower, but not all that athletic or explosive. Might be better to move him to 13 and see if you can utilise his ball playing given he was a half coming through the grades.

I don’t disagree but Moses just signed for another 3 years. Hard to see anything but more years of finishing 4th to 6th in the regular season and then out the finals in straight sets unless they shake up the squad.
If I was parra management I’d be opening talks with Flanagan as a coaching option

He's done a decent job there, but i think he's probably taken them as far as he can tbh.

Yep, exactly my thoughts. He has got them to be a competitive top 8 team but not sure he has the extra gear to win a comp…not unlike Griffin.
