[Round 22, 2021] Broncos vs Roosters

Reaching back, didn't Prince break his leg in similar tackle? Victor is a tough competitor but he's always pushing the envelope.

Robbo said the presser that "Victor was pretty innocent (then quickly added in what he was trying to do)"

Best game I've seen Coates in awhile.
That bat back for the Riki try was all class. And he threatened all night making that Roosters edge nervy that 1st half.
Some people talking shit cause he definitely was not the worst out there.

Absolutely useless in defence. A couple knock ons from high balls and almost let us another 3 tries. One saved by gamble and 2 saved by bad passes

true. was talking about tinights presser

oh realise that ...

I'm wondering if it is some edict from management (actually all previous administrations as well). that doesn't allow a coach to publicly blame the ref or complain about the ref

Yeah I've called for our coaches to go nuts in the past but I feel like the refined approach is better... Did you used to feel worse when your old man went ballistic, or when he didnt say anything? Quiet was worse for me...

Thats probably a pretty bad analogy but its all i can come up with right now
not so much go ballistic but as Robinson does ask a few open ended questions and maybe the 50/50 calls go your way more often

I remember clearly the majority of BHQ wanting Seibold to call out some of the BS and that we had a massive injury toll. And yet the moment he did he was criticised for making excuses and not taking responsibility for his shit coaching.

Kev needs to play the game, we just have to hope Big Double D's is in the background asking some really charged questions.

quite possibly

Completion rate of 32/39 (82%)... don't try and put it on the whole team when you are specifically talking about Kennedy's drop after Mead takes a screamer off the short kick off.

We complete that set, kick it deep and defend we likely win.
I'm not just talking about Kennedy dropping the ball. Basic stuff we got wrong. Gamble kicking out of the full ( which we seem to do with alarming regularity ), Coates error we didnt defend well, poor defence from Levi, Riki and Flegler for Tedesco's try, Coates failure to catch it when he would have been clean through for a try. There were other occasions we dropped ball that we got away with, or we got our positioning wrong and had to rely on last ditch tackles. And as much as i thought it was harsh, Flegler still made contact with the head and in these days of super slow motion replays you are always asking for trouble. Its like i said, our discipline wasnt what it needed to be with and without the ball.

There was a direct correlation between Pies training methods and our injury toll though. Train at 110% and you'll get 110% of the injuries apparently.

That last call was rubbish tonight and part of me wishes kevvie did a Toovey needsaninvestigation blow up but I'm also glad he didnt.

all fixable. with some confidence and maturity.

Roosters are now in the top 4. The fact that THAT side is in the best 4, just shows how fucked the NRL really is currently.

No-one can beat Melbourne. Storm are top, daylight second, then Panthers, then more daylight. Then the pretenders start...Souffs, Rorters, Eels. Then another massive gap to the rest.

Salary cap working as intended I guess? EvENnESt CoMp EVAHHH.
