As much as I get this sentiment many have shared I think Kev is doing the right thing at the moment by not addressing it. His team is still improving and you want to avoid anything that shifts the responsibility away from himself and the players. They need to own the fact they’re 2nd last and work their way out of it. Then they can start addressing the reffingI want Kevvie to rip the refs a new one.
It's about time we take a stand on the standard of refs.
Sick of Robbo etc bleating about how bad they are treated & then next game, refs favour them.
Seriously? What a piss weak way to look at it. You can't change a team culture due to 1 result?I mean how can you even hope to turn the mentality of a team around to a winning culture when you have to cop setbacks like that shit?? No wonder the top of the comp is the same 4-5 fucking teams every single year.
It is childish reasons. off the top of my head I can't remember any seriously bad game affecting ref decisions that have cost the Broncos any games this season. To say it's a conspiracy and the game is out to get the Broncos is childish. It would be childish if it were for childish reasons. However, when there are legitimate reasons (many of which have been explained in other posts), the least of those being the NRL being supported heavily by a betting agency AND being run by a former bookmaker, it is hardly childish to question the integrity of a corporation when you notice it.
Conspiracies DO exist and be they large or small, there are often legitimate reasons to discuss them. In this case, the stakes are not so high, but it is still a valid talking point for fans.
If you don't enjoy seeing it, then just ignore it. Calling people childish for discussing things that concern them is not productive. I think it is quite possible to continue other conversations in this thread while those who wish to, indulge themselves in their conspiracies. There is noone going to die due to this one.
The NRL is the most corrupt sport in world history ... you can not use a captain challenge for a high shot, unless of course the ref want you to lose, then he temporarily changes the rules
If they weren't, why did we watch 5 mins of Flegler's arm getting headbutted by the Roosters second rower? They weren`t challenging the high shot ...
FFS some of you guys need to go to specs savers .
Calling people out for name calling certainly is productive. It fosters a culture of respect and communication.Seriously? What a piss weak way to look at it. You can't change a team culture due to 1 result?

And if you don't enjoy seeing me call someone childish, scroll on. Complaining about be calling someone childish isn't productive.
Tedesco literally and specifically requested they look at the high shot. They weren`t challenging the high shot ...

When Tedesco is pointing and talking to Klein you can clearly hear him say "high shot on Sitili, high shot on Sitili." Then when Klein sends it up he says "we're looking for a high tackle ok, Captain's Challenge, on Sitili".They weren`t challenging the high shot ...

And when the bunker confirmed the drop ball and moved on Klein told them to go back and check the contact by Flegler againWhen Tedesco is pointing and talking to Klein you can clearly hear him say "high shot on Sitili, high shot on Sitili." The Broncos need to do a Roosters here and send the media a laundry list of stills of Roosters contact with Bronco heads during that entire match. I guarantee there was at least half a dozen worse than the one that 'earned' that final penalty. It won't change the result this game but it just might put a bit of pressure on the officials to give us a fair suck of the sav.
The other screamer for me was since when is the 'advantage' played by Cobbo running 20m and getting bundled into touch? Manly can get 5 tackles, 60m and an attacking kick away before coming back for their 'advantage' - so where was ours?
That and our 15m 10 metres compared to the Roosters' 7m or 8m. At this point it's just blatant.
Why is it that we cannot expect consistency? This game purports to be professional, yet they cannot even get the basics of the game right.
What was Teddy's official challenge in regards to anyway??That's a different circumstance.
I've been trying to look for an official explanation to no avail but my understanding is that the play 'ends' when a tackle is made. The play begins after the ball clears the ruck, so if a mistake is made during that in-between period it's instantly ruled.
Conversley a player can actually step over the touch line in the process of getting up and playing the ball but as long as they have both feet in the field of play they will be cleared of going into touch.
What Klein is saying is that the mistake happened during that window, so Play 3 (technically 4, but it's confusing enough already) technically never happened they could review everything in the lead up.
I'm not saying it's right or that's the way it should be. I just think it's their rationale although I think either way Annesley is going to issue an apology and that will make everything A-OK.
You need to get your hearing tested. They weren`t challenging the high shot ...
