POST GAME [Round 22, 2023] Broncos vs Roosters

Convinced that JWH and NAS would have to murder someone for the NRL to do anything
This didn't even attract a fine last week, and it's well known NAS is allowed to knock blokes' teeth in without any disciplinary action. You could say it wasn't nearly as bad as Marty's nor anywhere near as obvious, but it's also painfully obvious some players constantly get away with things others don't.

Yeah its nuts. Tariq Sims got suspended for his high shot last week which from memory looked alot like JWH last night 🤷‍♂️

NRL need to hit up FIFA about the semi-automated offside technology.

They're recording good profits but the technology being used is remaining the same.

I reckon the NRL haven't brought it in, because there would be so many times where players are offside, but the bunker just waves it away because they want to look at minute touches in an aerial contest.

Kind of like not calling forward passes when it's an easy draw and pass against the fullback. People generally don't care that it's let go.

It's why last night's was crap... they never deem someone to be offside during vid ref replays... there was the one in origin 3 where a player was literally standing in front of Cody on his kick... he near kicked it into the offside player but they called play on.

A long while ago they did an "inside look" at the bunker and there was an imposed line on one of the images for offside. Even looking with the naked eye he was definitely onside.

I'm just over the blantant cheating by the refs. That second half was a plethora of blatantly biased refereeing trying to manufacter a contest. People bet money on these games - interferring with the result likely has significant legal and criminal implications.

Sue that slimy dog breeding PVL. That moron along with spineless puppet Abdo ruined the game together.
Throw in that lunatic Annersely for colluding with the cancer pricks in manufacturing rules on the fly or implementing rules based on the day & the team.

I don't get why the NRL are so afraid to utilise very simple technology. It's kinda weird considering how open they are to changing the fundamental rules of the game.
It pretty obvious why they won’t…

Exhibit A: the kotoni try!

It couldn’t be more obvious why 6 agains were brought into the game and then simple solutions never get brought in.

I would love the club to send an open letter to the NRL asking for why that decision was supported by the bunker when the evidence to the eye and the line on the screen plus all this supposed technology they have available to them clearly showed Staggs was not JUST behind the kicker but comfortably so.

No, Atkins is just a numpty

THIS was the payback for Mam's try as it was borderline.
Yeah I think Annersley will probably address it on Monday and then also claim that Ezra was offside. Assuming people will be like well they missed one, but they also got one, so swings and roundabouts.

What he may not realise is that the media will probably jump onto it and start a push to get offside lines into the bunker... and then the NRL won't be able to hide behind just waving it away when they don't want to enforce the rule.

But eventually that kind of technology will start to get pushed on general play kicking as well and players being inside the 10m on a normal kick chase... and the game will become very technical on decisions that realistically have very little bearing on the play or tries that eventuate

Ref could have blown an extra 15 penalties for ruck infringements and offside against the Roosters If he wanted to. Guess he didn't want to.
The thing is, it’s not down to if he wants to. He’s there to enforce the rules of the game, so if there’s a penalty count 20-0 in Broncos favour then that’s what he should call.

The problem is quite clearly that officials are acting under some sort of directatorship (I just made up a new word, cross between direction, dictator, tyranical orders)

Highlight of the season for me, take a bow Patty.

Both my wife and I were up on our feet here in the UK when he went over. Even our Golden Retriever was bouncing and barking!

The celebration shows how this group are one.

Only one team can stop us from going all the way, and that’s ourselves.
