Round 22 - Broncos vs. Dragons - Pre Match Discussion

I get that FG and I would have personally stuck with Tasi but I don't think it's a big deal at all, or at least worth the amount of attention it's received.

There are two factors here for mine.

First off Tasi has barely been at the club for a month now and even then hasn't been around our senior players at all. He still needs more time to adjust and learn his role.

His performance against the Cowboys simply wasn't that good. It isn't like Tasi was tearing things up when he was with us.

I think the point is, it's not like Lui has done anything fantastic ....EVER.

If Tasi was missing out on a spot to someone else like, Dodds or even Hala for example ....then no-one would mention it (I guess)

The fact that he at the moment has lost out to Lui .....raises a few eyebrows and IMO quite rightly so.

I take your point.

However, it isn't this great injustice some are making it out to be.

He's only new to our organisation too don't forget.

I'm sure he'll be in the top squad as a permanent member before too much longer.

We really need big. aggressive forwards like that.

I dont think anyone is saying its a great injustice, its just a topic for discussion.

As for the game, i havent tipped us often this year but will be picking us to beat the dragons. We have had good results against them almost since Bennett took over and i think it will continue, other than Dugan i dont think there is anyone in the side that our guys would fear.

I'm expecting Parker to have another massive game and be sticking to Merrin like glue after his embarrassing miss in the 3rd Origin game.

The Dragons have won a few big ones at Suncorp before.

It's always a great game.

A big win here by the boys on a Sunday afternoon and I might think about relighting the finals candle.

Unless we implode we should be capable of slaughtering the Dragons. They genuinely have a really shitty team. Morris and Nightingale are good but when the halves and centres are so shitty they don't give much threat. Only Merrin and Dugan are classy players to be worried about.

Personally I'm looking for a good follow-up game from Hunt. I'm praying that he can do enough to solidify his spot and then I will not have to worry about Wallace playing again.

Well, watching them play the Dogs, I wouldn't take them too lightly

Dragons are better than the Bulldogs lol, and both are better than us at our best.

Kick it into touch or dead on the last as much as possible. We don't want Dugan running back at us in broken play

What's likely going to happen is that we'll keep kicking the ball straight to him on the full.

i just hope hunt won't get intimidated and go into his shell when wallace comes on. hunt needs to take authority and show wallace who's boss.
