Has anyone watched much of Granville in qcup? Can he defend well at fullback? I think we lose so much when Hoffman isn't on the wing (maranta is) I love the Hodges in attacking fullback role but I'd prefer someone else at defensive fullback. Yes Hoffman is brilliant at this but I'm sure others are too. He is a one of a kind talent on the wing though and he seems to do nothing there if he's used all his energy at fullback. Very few offloads last couple games though maybe if that picks up again he will improve. Hopefully Gillett has a better game. Stagg looked unfit to me tonight I think losing Glenn really cost us. It was the complete absence of performance of the forwards in the second half that killed us. No one but thaiday seemed to make metres in the last 15 minutes. They were so stuffed though. Obviously dodge refereeing and repeat sets killed us there.

I have to admit, its been hilarious watching Hodgo completely refuse to pass to Maranta.

And then watching Hodges scream to the heavens when he gives Maranta the ball with the line open, only to cut back inside and die with the ball on the last tackle.

The worst thing that happened to Maranta is that we have too many injuries to drop him. He needs to be brought in a little bit at a time, like Copley did. If we all remember, Copley was a dud too, but he worked on his game in the lower grades, and eventually became pretty good at the end of last year.

Sort of agree .......bit more to Copley than Maranta though for mine.

Yep.

Copley just seems more of a 'footballer' than Maranta.

Pretty sure Dale did this against Manly where we lost on the bell in 2011 (I think, coulda been 2012) with Matai and Wiliams/Taufua having a 2-on-1 with Hodgo and they won as Cozza couldn't kick to save himself. Granted he got that out of his game and improved heaps after that. I remember him absolutely laying Simmons out just by running into him in our rd26 game v Penrith for PC's last home game

He's played 2. Against Sharks & Cowboys. It seemed a very strange decision to play Lui ahead of him against Knight's.

I believe I'll attend this game as it fits in with my swing. The life of the FIFO gets in the road when planning stuff but I can see myself drinking beer and watching the game.

Dunno if there was something going on behind the scenes, maybe Lama was carrying a niggling injury or something, but there's no way Lui is ahead of him in the pecking order.
