POST GAME [Round 23, 2023] Broncos vs Cowbyes

When is the weekly Annesley dribble scheduled for?

No mention of our game as usual.

He did say the Dragons should've been awarded the try after Liddle was stripped by Gutho. The game that they lost by six points. Not even a murmer. The missed forward pass to Kris in the Raiders game generated more comment from the cardboard cut outs in the audience.

Here’s a good read the likes of which you’ll never find in a News Corp article.

Yeah and it's also why our attack looks soo much better to watch than the likes of Penrith, we are dangerous in all areas, Penrith score the vast majority of tries just scoring the exact same way, sitting in the opposition 20 with Yeo basically starting an over lap by getting more than 1 defender to commit then they slide to the edge with space.

The Brisbane Broncos’ rivalry with North Queensland has taken another explosive twist amid claims that superstar fullback Reece Walsh was the victim of a new tackling technique that has been dubbed ‘the scorpion’. Footage of the incident shows Walsh screaming in pain after being tackled by Cowboys duo Coen Hess and Jamayne Taunoa-Brown. It is understood Broncos officials reviewed the matter and believe that Walsh was fortunate to avoid serious injury.

What a surprise. Hess has always been a lazy, weak piece of shit.

Payten said:

“I am furious for anyone to think we would coach this sort of tackle,” he said.

“I am dumbfounded. It’s the same as the hip drop, can someone tell me anyone who is coaching that?

“Every tackle we made on Reece Walsh was around the legs because of his speed getting across the ground.

“I’ve never even heard of this tackle, we don’t coach it.”

Annesley Said:

“Every tackle in every game gets reviewed by the match review committee,”

“I have been informed that they saw nothing untoward in this tackle.”

What needs to happen is a trend of the tackle with a few injuries, then the NRL will step in and go with whatever the media are labelling it.

Until such a time, who cares. That will be their attitude.

It’s like a crappy version of the walls of Jericho

No one trains players to jam their elbows in players' faces while they are on the ground held by other players. But players do dumb, grubby and dangerous shit in the heat of the moment, and in order to put their opponents off their game. It doesn't mean that it shouldn't be called out and punished. How JWH got away with trying to unscrew players' legs at the knees twice in one game last year would baffle me... If it wasn't JWH... And the Broncos the victims.
