POST GAME [Round 23, 2023] Broncos vs Cowbyes

I reckon Feldt threw his leg out at Cobbo when Feldt dropped the ball and Cobbo picked it up. Incident happened in the first half near our line, close to the sideline.

No one trains players to jam their elbows in players' faces while they are on the ground held by other players. But players do dumb, grubby and dangerous shit in the heat of the moment, and in order to put their opponents off their game. It doesn't mean that it shouldn't be called out and punished. How JWH got away with trying to unscrew players' legs at the knees twice in one game last year would baffle me... If it wasn't JWH... And the Broncos the victims.

This. They were just talking about it on 360 and how ridiculous this whole "scorpion tackle" is

Buzz: You can't give it a name like cannon ball or chicken wing until a couple of people start doing it and we see it more often.

Or words to that effect. I mean, wouldn't it be fucking smarter to rub any dangerous tackle out of the game...named or not? So we don't actually need to have these stupid crack downs? **** me there are some absolute peanuts involved with this sport.

he doesn't give two shits until it affects one of the NRL favourite's

Joke will be on him soon, Walsh is soon to be (if he's not already) one of the most popular players in the game. Broncos & Qlders will love him, the rest will hate him. Easy to kick the Broncos when they're down like we have been, but when we have some of the most likeable players in the comp - Patty, Ezra, Reyno et al - that worm will turn.

Sweet, naive Harry. That doesn’t bring the articles. You rub it out straight away that is two articles max, the article identifying it and another about the NRL stamping it out early.

The NRL doing nothing brings numerous articles for each incident, the responses from the coaches. The outrage that nothing is being done. The crackdown, the outrage to the crackdown, the articles about why it wasn’t stamped out earlier etc. etc.

The NRL transition into WWE is now almost complete... we have it all:

- A handful of selected, 'superstar' favourite figures
- Scripted, pre-determined outcomes to ensure these favourites always win
- Manufactured drama
- A range of exciting 'finishing moves'... the 'hip drop', 'the crusher', 'the scorpion'

Daniel Vidot may have been on to something. In a few years I fully expect Reece to come out onto the field in full wrestling attire with a personal catchphrase.

You forget us................'the fans'.................the idiots in the stands pretending and trying to convince ourselves it's still real.

I've just watched the replay to get ready for tonight and wanted to give credit to Madden and Kevvie.

Jock was pretty good to be honest. No he wasn't perfect and made some errors but his issue in his previous games was defense and he was rock solid in this game. He has a future and the fact he is seemingly willing to bide his time is really admirable. He also spoke himself in third person in his post game which was hilarious.

On to Kevvie, that game was quick and for this time of year, warm. There were a number of players out on their feet at various times but every time that was the case, Kevvie triggered an interchange or team shuffle. He clearly changed up the usual process to accommodate the conditions and state of the game. He really has turned into an excellent coach.
