I honestly think it's largely Roberts' fault. They failed to use him in Origin too. I think it's because he just struggles playing with any sort of structure. He pretty much relies on getting the ball early and trying to run around the opposition. He needs to learn to hit holes.

Yeah I'm starting to think this as well... just times when he stays out instead of coming in on kodi's inside or coming in but way too late. He seems to crowd his winger by just running sideways.

He is such a powerful runner that he just needs to fix his timing, find a hole and attack it looking for the ball

It was quite funny for about 2 minutes when he first started doing it

Sometimes. Sometimes you need to transfer the adrenaline of defense into attack.

Yup Thaiday basically took every second run, great work from him. He didn't make huge amounts of metres when he got the ball he just kept on taking runs

It's crazy how close the top 8 is. We are only two points behind Melb which is incredible considering the year we have had

But in those situations they're kicking from inside the 30-25m with both wingers back very hard to find a kick for touch.

Milf has shown he will kick early while the wingers are up, but in those sets he just needs one forward to make a half decent run a get a quick play the ball and he'll pump it down town... some of those sets were very poor from the forwards making no meters and losing the ruck massively.

When Darren was in those situations he would just catch it and pump it as long as possible. Nothing cute just down the guts and long with a kick chase... agree it needed to be milf with his boot instead of Kodi though

Press conference was a ball tonight

I think this was a game they really dug in deep for. They were gifted some early points and were the better team for the 1st 20, then allowed south sydney to build some momentum with repeat sets. That weight of defence came to bite them and souths came roaring back, but the injection of sims really gave them some self-belief (he is going to be a good player for st george, not that you can keep them all) and they ran with it.
This team is a forward leader short of a premiership. I'm not complaining because thats the way it is with a young pack. but when the likes of tevita and offa (already one of our best) gain some self-confidence they will fill that role and woe BETIDE our opponents. We are probably well short of success this year based on the season, but come next year, give some team stablility, I see us top four easily.
On a side note I though knik tackled really well tonight. Its not easy for a small guy against that pack but he really held his own. A well deserved try for him in the end too. He was one of our best and a very good kicking display from our halves (worth noting).

Not trying to be clever, just thought you'd like to use that anachronism correctly in the future. I thought we were only average for 20 minutes in total not the much bigger number that most seem to believe. I think the refs are trying to keep games close but at other times I think they aren't like when Parra played StMerge.

His strike rate against the Rabbitohs is unbelievable. 11 tries in the last 7 games. He has scored in every game since Round 25, 2015.
