Personally i think its a good move to keep him out for the rest of the year. Ankles are not to be scoffed at. He needs to rehab and build confidence for next year.
Fight the charge and win and the nrl has already had the effect they wanted by disrupting our preparation massively.
The courier mail today there was 4 pages dedicated to afl, 2 straight after the back page. I have seen more afl gear on people (not just the lions) in brisbane then I ever have before.
Someone was wondering why the crowd was so small the other. I can only talk for myself on this but I didn't go because of this. Look at the nrl lately. It's corrupt. Big time. It's turning away more people then it is gaining by turning a blind eye to the bs of Melbourne and by punishing popular clubs consistently. It's become VERY VERY SAD. they are killing the sport I love
Locky was talking about Milf to 7 and Isaako to 1.
Boyd back to 1.
Yeah there could be an arguement why our right side (staggs, isaako) have been successful recently is the threat posed by TPJ. With centres moving in to support their halves this opens more room for staggs isaako. With no TPJ I don't think we have much points in us, unless SoS plays and has a blinder.
Shibas may have shit attack at this stage, but his defense is decent.

Without him, i suspect teams will mark up on staggs more.
I'd probably run out with this team on Friday:
1. Milford
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Glenn
5. Isaako
6. Boyd
7. O'Sullivan
8. Lodge
9. McCullough
10. Haas
11. Gillett
12. Fifita
13. Ofahengaue
14. Segeyaro
15. Carrigan
16. Flegler
17. Kennedy
If Gillett is still out then Glenn moves into the backrow and Shibasaki to center. Shibas may have shit attack at this stage, but his defense is decent.
If both Glenn and Gillett are out, then i would move Ofahengaue to 12 and start Carrigan at lock
I would love Boyd to move into the centers, but lets face it ... while we have these injuries/suspensions in the halves, he isn't moving.
I think bombing to the fullback will come into fashion again. Centres have become accustommed to "escorting/blocking" for their wingers, sure there will be the occassional penalty but more often than not, will get away with it. But the middles havent quite got that skill yet, and given their workload, do not have the energy to turn and chase the ball and get in front of the opposition......that's absolutely correct.....its our most offensive potent edge right now, TPJ plays a large role in this so missing him will definitely hurt..
Ive mentioned before, its wrong to hand our season over to 2 kids playing in the halves and expect them to propel us to the finals, if Dearden isn't ready then don't play him. SoS yeh sure it would be great to see him again but its the pressure applied by folks like us which means this type of ,move could backfire on us...
Is the glass half-empty or half-full..???.....sums up our season....
Milf to 5/8th or 7 i kinda understand...Reynolds has a pin-point kicking game and watching Milf trying to deal with Penrith putting up the bomb tells me Isaako extra jump and height would be most welcomed to deal with Reynolds kicks, not to mention the running meters he can get on kick returns...help get our sets off on the front foot..
So in terms of delaing with current suspensions, this move makes a lot of sense but lets see...?
Moving milf in the first point was insane.Moving Milford would just be insane at this point. Give O'Sullivan the keys to the car and trust him and Milf at Fullback to get us around the park. O'Sullivan's kicking game is already better than Turpin's so if anything we should have less reason to move Milford now than we did before.
