Round 24 Discussion

Grade 2 Reckless High Tackle for Latrell.

Base penalty is 5 matches. With loading that turns into 6 matches. He faces 9 weeks max if he fights it and loses.

He’s out for the remainder of the season.

That game between Soufs and Rorters was absolutely disgusting. Klein was useless again, though I did chuckle when he saw Manu's face and was like "woah!".

Disgraceful that Hetherington can be sent off but Latrell gets 10. Then Latrell slams that ball down on top of the opposition player after scoring. Yeah, that's what I want kids acting like playing footy.

Gus Gould defending Latrell. Vomit.

The scoreline was also just gross. It's obvious that we should have beaten the Rorters after that weak display, but my god, players like Latrell should not get such leeway.

Protecting the players head? Dude had his face caved in. It was deliberate, they lose a key player and he comes back in acts like **** of the roost. **** that.

Gross. Incompetent. Entertainment? Sure, but at what cost? Just be consistent you cucks.
I agree with most of that, but I don't think it was deliberate...

We're the richest club in the comp. Don't pretend we don't have the means to back Kev up as well.
Yeah but the club can’t cover the fine
A millionaire on the other hand in Nick can just say here’s 10k go for it
Nicks already shown he is ready to use his own money for his club. Our guys on the other hand like to pilfer the club not add money to it

Looking likely the Robinson will get a second bunker official axed this season. CM reporting that Perenara is expected to be axed for the Melbourne/Eels clash today. Klein is expected to keep his role in the Bunker for the Panthers/Tigers match

so any word of a fine for Robinson for accusing the NRL officials of a bias. surely they have to come down on him, especially after Annersleys rant a couple of weeks ago.

he's still got that suspended fine hanging over his head also.

The more I think about it, the more I am sure that Robinson wants to muddy the waters so much that the rules are relaxed and dog shots are allowed. Even the commenators were saying stuff along the lines of "That's how Radley plays. You have to just accept that he'll be out for a few weeks a year because if you take that out of his game he offers nothing". which is basically a piss-poor way of saying that he's a grub. If that's the only way a player can be effective, **** them off out of the game. Give me legal rib-cruncher every day of the week over cheap high shots and knee twists.

Ahh yes totally agree but then players who do that get penalised for being a bit too forceful.

The toughest game of the round is nearly upon us - Dragons/Cowboys. It's the Cowboys best chance of picking up a victory and it's one of the strongest line-ups they've named in weeks. However St. George didn't look too bad themselves against the Roosters and their young prospects are starting to come of age.

I'll be surprised if this ends up being one-sided. I expect this to be like Broncos/Warriors where one team just manages to keep their head above water the longest.

Well according to V'landy's rules and compared to what the Broncos have copped , Latrine should just about have his contract torn up now , and then released from the NRL altogether ! . How Bennett did not get this bloke to pull his head in sooner I find is a bit odd. He is a repeat offender , albeit a very good player , but just an absolute flog. Joseph Manu or any player, does not deserve to have his season end this way , that's for sure . Aggression is part of the game , but Latrine the no brain , just can't seem to control his . Just would have preferred he'd saved it for the GF and then given it to Melbourne .

Two poor runs from Norman really cruelled whatever chance the Dragons had to extend their lead there. as the Cowboys make some very soft runs out of their own end and earn a penalty.

Big set coming up before half-time.

What the hell happened there?!

Dearden splits them, finds Neame who is taken in a great tackle by Sloan, Neame throws a miracle offload to Robson who is cleaned up by Ravalawa who spills it.

Dragons now find themselves in the Cowboys half.

Crazy finish to the half, Sloan scores off a smart chip from Amone and the Dragons should take a 10 point lead to half-time.

Cowboys looked like they had scored for all money.
