What game did you watch. Our attack was far from fluid. I'd say it was clunky at best. The Oates try was a classic example of this. Every pass it the movement was poorHaven't seen the Broncos attack look so fluid since Macca was out during the Origin. Let's hope he takes enough time off to completely recuperate.
I'd agree with that. We didn't look great in attack but early on i think it was nerves, then without a regular hooker it was a little understandable. What game did you watch. That was simply a brilliant performance by the whole team. I'm extremely proud tonight. With what was on the line, top 8 chances, playing home finals etc, coming to Sydney playing a top 4 team, losing our hooker within 20 minutes and then losing Mago for HIA etc, it was just a really tough and gritty performance. Backs against the wall type stuff. Confidence boosting.
Milfords kicking game is really really good. After McCullough came off we stepped it up especially the forwards, in some way it was what we needed because we were too conservative and placid.
Fifita was incredible. Our defense was 2015 like. Our attitude was switched on and hungry to defend and shut them out.
Just really happy with this win and I'm hoping this sparks something in the boys to go all the way.
Totally agree with you, those arm grabs from last night were pathetic and we'll absolutely get exposed come finals time if we keep that up. Our scramble defense to shut down the plays after our arm grabs was terrific though, can't fault that but the arm grabbing has to do immediately.Agree, however for mine, there are still way too many pathetic arm grabbing tackle attempts and the only reason we didn't get shredded yesterday was because the initial arm grabber was backed up by a decent tackler, and in a few cases, that was Thaiday who, whatever you think of him, he knows how to tackle properly, unlike a bunch of our forwards and back.
If we continue to arm grab like we have for the past few weeks, the Storm for one team will rip us apart. The Bunnies and Chooks don't have the coaching or strategic class to take advantage of this pathetic defensive technique. The Storm on the other hand have always figured us out and they will do it again.
Our defensive technique just has to be fixed, and we will win this premiership on the back of it.
We missed a lot but we scrambled well.Thought our edges were really better in defence, had a look at NRL stats from the game we have 47 missed tackles!, and roosters had 27 or something
We need to do everything possible to avoid paying the stormThe reality is if we fail to beat Manly next week and the Warriors manage to leapfrog us into seventh spot we face a trip to Melbourne to play the storm the first week of the finals. As much as our young colts have improved I don't think they are quite ready to roll the wrestlers yet.
That's just Roberts though.. he's constantly limping. Nothing to worry aboutRoberts was limping a bit at the end, that Achilles injury is still giving him a bit of grief.
