He has a great short ball for his second rowers and a better than average short kicking game but outside of that it’s all energy and not too much else. Fairly limited player.

Some posters seem to thin that energy is somehow something to be sniffed at. Have you seen the plodders we have running around at the moment? We NEED energy but even so, he is so underrated it is unfair. Gamble literally pulls players into position to run plays, he brings confidence, he brings smarts and he brings a willingness to stand up for his teammates and get in the face of the opposition.

These are all things that our team severely lacks at present. Eventually, hopefully we can move on but that time is NOT now. We need someone who will literally put players into the right spot and not let that late hit on TMM on Thursday just go like it never happened.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with everything you’ve said

Yep , I like the way he expresses himself .
But ,,, world class sledging sledging won`t make up for his short comings .

Not a tackle buster , not a great defender , turns the ball over regularly on his 5th tackle kicks .

Can throw some decent passes . But , the right to left pass is a weakness that leads to errors .

Bye Tyson . It was fun while it lasted .

If players don`t understand their jobs and how to position themselves by now .
Release them too !

If they are running around like headless chooks and can`t count the numbers the opposition has up against them . They either need to watch a lot of video and remedy it on the training paddock or find another sport .

I thought it was TMM`s job as the cool headed communicator to organise the team . Does he need another plodder to help him with that ?

Re TMM and the shoulder charge . Do you think a forward running in and pulling the bad guys jumper in retaliation would make that big a difference ?

These players are dumb man, that has been obvious for years with the exception of one or two players. They are also a very passive team without Carrigan out there. There is no one else who stands up to the opposition in the forwards. Flegler tries but he gets penalised at the drop of a hat.

As for TMM, he has been disappointing since coming back in, there are no two ways about that and don't bring this up with me, I am a fan of Tesi.

As for grabbing the jumper in retaliation, have you not seen this sport in recent years? This is the ONLY way to get a penalty sometimes. It also brings a stoppage and subsequent attention to what caused it. Our entire club is too passive, this sort of thing needs to be called out by the powers that be, not as an excuse for losing but as yet another glaring example of inconsistency.

We never do that and it is so easy to do. Claim that the NRL is supposed to be big on player welfare and then allow this sort of rubbish to happen with no consequence.

I think Wayne pulled a master stroke getting the Bromich brothers .
Through all the changes of personnel at the Storm they have been a constant . The middle and one edge are controlled by those guys . Kafusi on the other .

I will be very interested if the Storm defence is as good without the Bromichs

Meh play acting / jumper pulling . What is needed is some aggression and energy in tackles . That`s when you let the opposition know they bit off more than they can chew .
As much as I dislike Radley he plays that role well .

Ineffective tackles / offloads and players being left on the ground after tackles is the tell . Ball runners dominating the defence . Story of the last few weeks .
Hit and stick was the popular description of the Broncos defence mid season . The hitting has gone soft and the stick is almost non existent . WHY ?

Really think Gamble should bulk up and turn into a back rower. I think that's the way forward for him in the NRL, everyone is desperate for mobile skillful forwards.
Watching Shaun Lane carve us up made it obvious of yet another position we seriously lack in potency.

Two fundamentals we still don’t have.

Corey Oates:

“It would be heart-breaking to miss the finals. We have done so much good work during the year and now we have made it hard for ourselves, that’s all I can put it down to. We need to bring what we have for 80 per cent of this year, we need some heart and character and put in performances that we know we can produce. We have to put everything on the line against the Dragons because to be honest, it could be it."
“If we squeeze into the finals, great, but we just have to have a dig next week and defend well. Don’t let them score. Tackle. Run hard. Hold the ball. Good end-of-set kicks. Just compete for 80 minutes against the Dragons - that’s all we can do.”

Walters:

“Our discipline is an issue. It’s a concern. We are aware of what’s going on, but being aware of it and stopping it are different things. The mistakes we are making we weren’t making a month ago. We have lost momentum and we have to get it back against the Dragons.”

CM is reporting Reynolds is "privately confident" he will play against the Dragons, and that he's "set to" be cleared.

Everybody say it with me:
“mathematically possible!”
If we win and Raiders lose next week we still make it don't we? But that would be unlikely given the Raiders are playing Tigers.

that honestly depends on tonights match.

unless we thrash the Dragons and the Tigers thrash the Raiders

If we lose next week we are out regardless of results (unless the Tigers thrash the Raiders).

We need to win next week and either:
a. the bunnies to lose both games (cowboys and roosters) which is possible.

And/or b. the Raiders to lose next week

Pretty sure if Raiders lost at all to the tigers and we win at all, we are in yeah?

We would finish on 30 and Raiders 28. But basically if we lose next week we are done unless the raiders get absolutely towelled
